          man, today's one of those *special* days...i've been trying to work on this song idea (basically just 2 weird riffs - until today) for 3 friggin weeks, without any success at all. today, i've wrote another part, greatly improved the transitions, and even came up with a short but cool sounding intro. i almost feel bad for sitting here and typing this stuff, wasting time i could use for writing songs [img]/images/graemlins/laugh.gif[/img] [img]/images/graemlins/laugh.gif[/img] [img]/images/graemlins/laugh.gif[/img]

            I have the Drummer from the band Soullless they have two albums out and have been doing those tribute compilations..Ozzy / Maiden on dwell records....he's rock steady and fast..the best I've heard since I been in the circuit here..which is forever!!

              bill, did you check out the ATG demo songs you can dl off their website? i'm on a slow ass connection so i've only loaded one (suicide nation demo), and it's quite different from the version that ended up being on the record. i think it's VERY cool to hear the "scratch tracks" of a record (esp. of one as good as slaughter of the soul!), kinda enables you to check out the way they're writing imho.

              btw, my other guitar player HATES ATG in general, an slaughter of the soul especially. constantly bitching about how every song is built around riffs that always go like open b string -> 8th fret B string etc.... where's the F.U. graemlin if you need it [img]/images/graemlins/laugh.gif[/img] [img]/images/graemlins/laugh.gif[/img] [img]/images/graemlins/laugh.gif[/img]

                  downloaded "bleeding darkness"....mh...i think i'll have to dl a few more songs in order to tell whether i like em or not. they're not the worst players, but the song structure and riffs in that song seem to be mediocre, nothing outstanding.
