Yes, the JSX is a bad Mo Fo..best damn Peavey amp ever made IMO...I only heard a dude playing a XXX..and he seemed to be a good player having fun with it..but the sound really didn't impress me too much..in fact I like the 5150 better than the XXX..I remeber saying that at the time..

Eh... the Deans are not really pointy, they're roundhorn guitars with rounded headstock tips. The Razorback has a pointy body though....

I actually enjoyed playing that Dime geetar..I wouldn't buy one..but it was cool to play..

Next time your at GC, make sure to check out the JSX..best amp in the house..by far..they kill a 5150..I know this..I had many..

Why would anyone buy a DSL/TSL when they could have a REAL amp like this is beyond me..

yeah, for 400-600 bucks, the 5150's do rock. JSX's are what around 800 useed? They'll come down tho, Peaveys never hold their value...

Fragle thanks man for the heads up man..No I haven't check then out recently..I finally listening to shit I bought two fuggin' years ago..still in the package..I just listened to a cd..what the fuck are they called..Oh, Lunafield "Diva"..just grabbed it on a whim..pretty cool musically a black/death hybrid..but the lyrics are pretty lame if you read them..sometimes it's best not to actually read the lyrics..some things is best left incoherent..

OK, The 5150 VS JSX thing.

Ron , as you know I ALWAYS praised and used the 5150 as did John..they are great amps..but we did always find the lead tone a tad "dead" sounding..it doesn't have that "sing" to it the JSX does..but the amps are really apples to oranges other than the brand..which John stated they don't hold their value..which is true..

Ron, are you a player like me who is content on getting just one killer tone that works great for you..if so the 5150 is your gig..

If not and you like a more versatile amp for your needs then the JSX wins it hands down..the clean channel really shines ..where the 5150's clean channel is utterly worthless really..unless you use a stom in front of it..but why do that when it could be ALL amp..right??

Ron, keep that into consideration..it you do covers which require pretty chorus/flanging passages..the the JSX is a requirement because the clean is that good..if not..fuggit..go with the 5150. The Amott bro got a KILLER lead tone from theirs..so...but Andy Sneap and good producers in your pocket certainly doesn't hurt..

The 5150 doesn't have a "bad" lead tone, not at all really..it just doesn't "sing" like my Marshall, John's CAE+3, or Uberschall..the JSX has that "sing"..

I found the BBE 422 does help the 5150 in that area..and you can score those cheap on the bay..I got mine for 50 bucks shipped..and only the 422 bro. I find that completely essential in getting THE best tone from a stock 5150..

Remember this too man..sound FUCK "clips"..that is not you playing, not your hands, touch, you don't know how it was miked , EQd and so forth..sounds clips are are made to to sound as "good" as possible.. otherwise nobody would post them ..right??

Clips may show you what a amp could do..but the difference can be night and day when you actually play that same amp that your hearing on those clips..

The ONLY way to know what any amp really sounds like is to actually play one..up close and personal.

Amp sound clips is like watching the fuggin' Home Shopping Network and seeing Estabon selling his bullshit!!

I've been busy scouting out all the guitargets between Elmira, NY and Wilkes-Barre, PA and found a whole bunch of cool hook-ups.
Right now I'm sans amp so my Jackson is whispering, rockin' the acoustics for the time being. Jingle Thrash!!!

I've just decided to start writing tonite , later on when I'm a little more loopy so to speak, I feel more creative and play better guitar when I'm looped, why should writing be any different? Weirdly enough, I can write 5 songs or poems in a row in no time. I can come up with 5 guitar songs in no time but i've never been good at putting the 2 together, always needed a partner for that end of things, but tonite's writing is going to be the climactic highs, extreme yet humor filled lows, and the ringling bros. and Branum & Bailey Circus that has been my life so far. This is my last trump card I am holding in regards to making a splash in this world in terms of getting paid some serious cha-chinga$$$ , and the miracle of it all is that I can remember my life, quite clearly all the way back to my 4th birthday. It's gonna be a good fukkin' read,
and I've got it nailed down to two titles. I promise I'll keep your attention, and I'm really hoping that i can in the end get it picked up by a publishing house and actually make it on to the racks, even if it doesn't sell. I truly feel I've got a lot to cover and will blow some minds with the sheer lunacy of the whole existence. I'm a lucky guy, but I can't comtinue to do what I'm doing now for a living, so I have to start hitting the paper with the mighty pen tonite, I feel the walls of time closing for some reason and i want this out, or at least just finished and i could just send a copy to my friends here, and the ones you'll be hearing a lot about from New York in the book.yup, tonite's the night. here's my two titles, which one is better, A, or B?
