True; I prefer to think of it as Ab though, since it's really in A positionwise, and since we consider that tuning to be Eb, not D#. Enharmonically either is correct though.

Yeah, Emmy ..sweet goodness wrapped in bubblewrap..that is a BEAUTIFUL house..mine is "spooky"..but I made mine look like that..you're already there, just need lots of antiques, gargoyles, candelabras and whatnots....Nice bannister, floors and wallpaper..SWEET!!

That software sounds very nice..I'm much too stupid and lazy to learn how to play with it..my wife still has to set the clocks and shit when the power goes off..if it wasn't for her..they'd all be flashing 12:00..seriously!!

I'm not good with gadgets and whatnots..they hurt my brain..and I don't like that.

BUT, I did learn to play guitar Heroe II..nice..huh..I never played a friggin' video game since Atari..now I'm beating Vinny playing Danzig's "Mother" ..he beats me most of the time tho..I never liked that song..until now..that fuggin' game makes that shit stick in the noggin'..

I've been away ..busy at home ..taking care of Val and her loss of work and shit, Vinny is still on break..she's drivin' me nuts..I don't know why..things are a little bit "tight" right now..but we're cool..her $$$ will be coming in soon..I can't wait..just so she can STFU!!

Well 20 years working at one place and it folds..I can understand..but fuggit..worrying isn't going to solve shit..and she's got me..so why fuggin' worry..but she feels' "guilty" for not contributing..it's silly but It'll pass..eventually.

but this software is actually pretty easy to use, even for retards like me

I wouldn't bother with this shit but man it's awsome when you have a good song idea or a riff, you just plug in and record it. You can storage all your bazillion ideas in one unit.

I have a Macintosh laptop, I bought it because it's easier to use than a "normal" computer.
It has a cool program named Grageband, I run the Guitar Rig 2 in Garageband enviorment.

It's cool as hell, you record your idea and you have this HUGE libary of different loops and samples....drums, basses, keyboards, horns, strings, orchestration, exotic instruments, electro sounds etc. etc. etc. and you have 'em all in all the different styles....funk, motown, pop, world music, blues, country, jazz, electro, rock etc etc. and you can use them in every key and in every tempo. Of course you can program all the beats, grooves and melodies and orchestration yourself too.

You can make a whole song with just a couple of minutes without any effort.

I'm using only Garageband and Guitar Rig 2.2 now, I don't need other programs, 4track recorders, sheet music or any of that crap.
If I need some serious stuff then I'm getting a Logic Pro wich is more advanced than pro tools but you have to be a rocket scientist to understand how it works

btw. Guitar Rig 2 is a "plug-in" type of software wich means you can change your recorded sound anytime you want.

the Lay It Down clip I recorded is actually storaged as a clean sound...the sound you get when you plug your guitar directly into the computer.
You just choose different sounds for that track until you find the one you like the most.
my Lay It Down clip has a RATT'like 80's metal tone but I can make it sound like tweed fender or SRV overdrive sound or pshychedelic fuzz sound with just a couple of mouse clicks.
Also you can double track or quad track it and then use different tones for each track, one track is Marshall, second is Vox, third is Fender etc. And off course you can make your rig with many different amps and whatnot, with Vetta you can use only 2 amps at one, with this you can do a lot more.

Also it's good for Bass guitar, it has an Ampeg head, many different bass cabs, DI box etc.


It will never replace the real thing but why bother recording a riff with a full stack, mics, pres, consoles etc...

Just watched the GR 2.2 demo...Much more versatile than my Line 6 software...I hope Line 6 updates it's software now...The re amping deal is cool. I'd love to just fucking lay a riff down, loop it then tweak as its going. Nothing worse than hitting an E5 power chord then reaching over while it's ringing out to tweak.

Hey...Does anyone else find this thread very hard to get into? Every time I click on this particular thread it takes 10x longer to open :O(

btw. the coolest thing in GR 2.2 is the Psychedelic Delay effect, I love it to death.

If I get this thing working very well I maybe start using it in live rig, in loop or in another chain. John McLaughling and Doug Wimbish use Mac laptops with different software all the time in their rig for all the cool sounds and whatnot. I pefer this over all those Roland Midi-guitar devices wich look very gay

Last show we did...This promotion team (Jodi is hottttt) surprised us and came to see us for the first time...They were interested in signing us on. So, of course it is the first time we totally have train wreck! lol Our drummer totally fucked up and since Steve and I couldn’t hear each other it was very difficult recovering...FUCK! Jodi and her partner are the only serious management around here who know what they are doing too...So they left without a good bye and Steve was mad as fuck lol

So I said..."Don't worry guys I'll do some damage control". (I had had a meeting with them a couple weeks before)

So last night Jodi and I met at a pub and drank for 3 hrs...She is a smart cookie and knows her shit. She was offered a job with Sony but her kids are sponsored skateboarders and didn't want to move to Vegas. She is signing a deal with a sub of Capital records…She also got one of her artists a deal with Godin guitars and Godin is flying her to NAMM...She is also signing with Lionsgate productions...(Saw 1,2 &3/Devils rejects) for scoring films.

The scary thing is the whole publishing rights...What is the norm? 50% for the band sound right?

The cool thing is...She let me know she is single and well...I told her she owes me a night out on her, including dinner and drinks. She said it was a deal ;O) I'd say out of the three hours we talked busines for 20 minutes...;OD
