I'm not sure that I can quite make out your riff in their song, but it sure is similar. But what do I know, I can't work out nursery rhymes by ear.

Having just listened back to Father Felon again, I gotta say: your song leaves their's in its wake. On every level - lyrically, vibe, coolness, kickassosity. Let's get a move on and get that Bed of Nails recording in the can, man. You're public needs to hear this shit.

Yeah, the riff is pretty close, probably just close as they can't play it, haha... Close, and the movement is pretty much identical.

That tune of theirs has been around a bit, and after getting a new guitarist onboard, he added the solo and it has that riff as a build up to the solo. Bill should prolly mention that the new guitarist there is a previous member of Bill's vocalists (Ty's) old band that has heard Bills demo a lot?

I don't think it is the band itself that copied it, but more likely the new guitarist used it when he added that solo. Hard to say whether it was truly purposeful or what. Sometimes ya listen to something and it sticks in you and you dupe it.

Bill, remember that tune I wrote that we spent days on, and it was a total rip of an Arch Enemy song (riff and structure) and I really had no idea (ooops)... It just sounded cool and I built on it? Guess it "could" happen accidently.

Ehh, people steal shit a lot to make their tunes. I know that I have. But, this is sorta screwy as it's a odd riff, both local bands, and the bands have ties... Less than admirable usage IMO. No reason to go apeshit, but they should remove it really. That would be the right thing to do.

This is one of the reasons I can't listen to a lot of new music, I hear ripping off all the time, intentionally or not, 12 notes time is over, every combination is used. It's time to use 24 and invent some new instruments.

I know these guys for quite some time, not as "friends"..just as people in our local metal circles..

I spoke with Ty and he informed me that you played this song a while ago at a gig with him. He never heard the riff at that time.
We all believe Sean injected that riff into your song when joining MSOD, either intentional or subliminal..whichever the case it is clearly the "Father Felon" riff I wrote back in 2000..before John joined me and Ty in "Evilution"..
I always reserved respect for you, and believe that you are not aware where that riff came from. Ty heard it and immediately suspected this was Sean's doing. I don't have a prob with Sean either..but I do have a problem with someone taking what I created and using it as their own..it's a small part that comes right before the solo in "BTK"..
I like to remain cool with you guys..I like you and Val, please understand my point of view.
There is many people including Bill Peters that have the demo that Rich Ronges recorded in early 2002 with Father Felon on it..
We should support and respect each other in the scene. Well, that's the way it should be..IMO.

Thanks guys..all my "politeness" didn't get very far..I wasn't expecting much to be honest. He's a confirmed "punk"..who I will run into eventually..then he'll be a stuttering punk..I assure you..

I was advised by a friend that the riff was already recorded before Sean (who I wrongly suspected) joined the band..

I was told by him woman via Myspace that he would call me tonight..of course I never recieved that call nor is that song pulled ..sigh.

Guys, I have over 5000 metal cds from all over the world..you guys know what it means to come up with something "original"..or at least VERY special to the person who wrote it..that riff is my baby..it means alot to me..those riffs don't come easy..just once in a blue moon.

Obviously I'm not the only one in my city who feels that way about that riff..a worm who can't write his way out of a paper bag is poking a potentially vicious bear in the nuts..why I don't know..???

I'll give him a couple more days to respond ..while I let this brew into the shitstorm it warrants..Then I will unleash a tsunami of poop..none like he never saw..

In fact that GAY song he wrote.."Find dum Torture Dum , Kill Dum"..will be MY theme song..

If he don't drop this shit soon..I will pee all over his parade..he'll just block or delte my post..but I have many friends ..who also don't like punks who blatantly fucks a stand up guy in the ass!!
