Hey Bill, I have a music quiz question for ya...I recently heard a heavy metal tune, and I don't know who the hell was playing it, but the singer had an awesome voice so I need to know who it was since you have the biggest metal collection of anyone I know, you should be able to answer

unfortunately I have extremely little to go by....anyway, I was having a few beers in a metal pub in Oslo, a couple of hours before Metallica's show at Valle Hovin 10th July...of course they played a bunch of 'tallica tunes, and then when we were just leaving they put on some kinda ballady song that just started with a typical clean arpeggiated Em riff or something...then the singer went off in an insane "metal cry" that lasted for probably 20 seconds...it was awesome, very powerful, yet it wasn't a growl...I thought maybe it was WASP, I asked a friend who thought it might be something from "crimson.." but I've checked that out and it wasn't...besides, I think the singer had much more balls than Blackie has...
It wasn't quite like Halford, maybe slightly similar but with more "bass" in the scream...

anyway, slim fucking chance that you would know from this vast source of clues, I know
just thought I'd ask ya...because that was an AWESOME voice!

Bill, I was about 12 when I did a similar thing. I was in the right room, but facing the wrong way. My step-mum heard the noise and absolutely bawled me out when I came out of the littlest room in the house. She was not impressed, and I had no idea what I'd done.

Rune, can you remember any of what the guy was singing? From your description, I want to say Jorn Lande, but more info is required. Lyrics would be good

no unfortunately I can't, that's the trick I usually pull with cool-sounding tunes....just remember the chorus and google it later (and no I wasn't drunk either)...the place was noisy and we were just leaving to take the tube to the venue. If I had had better time, then I would have gone back to the bar and asked them what it was. I'll give Jørn a spin and see if it's something of his. It sounded fairly modern so I'm guessing it was produced sometime during mid 90's to present.

Yeah man..I so much want to be thare. Got some fucked up news about Val yesterday..One of her Rods in her spine is cracked..that's beem causing her and me alot of greif. Now that I know this..I will powerslam any cocksucker that gets in my way or try to cocblock Val's claim in any way..in fact..I'm goibg to tell that to their ins co..I'm going to give them the news and just say..do ahead asshole, just try to fuck me..and I'll do anything to make your job and life a living hell.. Just to make sure I piss them off..why< because yheu always remeber you. You never forgot the ones the piss you off and why..and that is the logic on that shit.

Em, I hear ya there. I'd love to be down the beach, hanging out with Tommy & Endo. Probably couldn't keep up with them though
since I moved inland, don't get to the beach nearly as often as I'd like. Will have to remedy that this summer.
