Yeah I can'r wait to unveil the amp for Vin....I can't wait to play it ...it's a pretty crunch heavy amp...and that is important..

I didn't want to buy him a old school combo and have to add a bunch of crap in front of it to make it playable...like a tube screammer a whatnot...so this is a way better option ....

Vinny is a freakin' lil' drum monster...meter and feel that is just so damn natural...I picked him up a stand and a decent Pang to add to his kit..

but this weekend ...I'll get hammering on it..

No, it's just her hamming it up for the cam but, she knew what it was and did it on her own. I have show the girls a couple open chords cuz they like ACDC. They both have good taste and good ears so they figure out simple melodies on the high e string. I just let em do that till they ask me to teach them.

Justine (The one in the pic)figured out "Happy Birthday" and played it for me. The cool thing is she holds the note where "You" would be sung and gives it a nice slow vibrato! [img]/images/graemlins/cool.gif[/img] I guess you needed to be there... [img]/images/graemlins/toast.gif[/img]

We will have to record our kids some day and post them playing. Give them a little confidence booster.

I can't wait to hear about Vinnie's reaction to his new instrumental goodies! That is just the best.
My kids aren't getting instruments this year, we have a piano, four guitars and a bass- so we're set for now.
But my son is getting his first pint-size acoustic for his 5th birthday in March.
They both play piano already and my daughter has some wicked vocal chords. Man, can that girl ever sing! Makes her Mama proud. [img]/images/graemlins/grin.gif[/img]

But they are each getting their own stereos for Christmas. I know this because Santa told me. Both kids are Anthrax and AC/DC fans. They'll be kickin' it up. Woo-hoo! [img]/images/graemlins/headbang.gif[/img]

That's it for me over here. The Keith comes home tonight!! YAY! I am so glad he'll be home for the holidays this year.

my daughter has had a 3/4 size acoustic for the last couple of years, and she'll occasionally want to learn something on it. But she loves to sing, so we bought her a karaoke machine for her birthday this year. She uses it every day. It also doubles as her first cd player, so it's been getting a heavy work out this last month as she works through my & her mother's cd collections. [img]/images/graemlins/smile.gif[/img]

Dave / Em , doesn't kick ass to see the fruits of ours loins take to music like a fish to water...

when I was groing up ...NONE of my family were musicians ...'cept for my distant cousins who I never seen..

I wa the odd ball ...it was a calling ...I was talking to my dad yesterday over lunch and he said that I used to drive him crazy with buying me music gear ...but I said "hey dad, you have to admit ..it wasn't just a phase"...he said "hell no it wassn't , your right" [img]/images/graemlins/tongue.gif[/img]

I know that Vinny is not just a phase as well...when your a musician...I mean eat , drink and sleep music...that is a life calling.

Just like Chuck that says he's sick of guitars and this and that...yeah....this is true ...we can get sick of it all we want....but we were born muscians and we will die musicians..most of us anyways.

I haven't been around because Vinny and Val is home during the Holidays ...SO , I been hangin' with them...it's not often that we are all home together...so I'm talking advantage of it I guess..

I usually stay up all night when they are not home ...but I been getting up early everday and by the time it's evening ...I'm falling to sleep...so that's why I haven't been here..

but I will soon...

So to all my very good freinds here..I sincerely wish you a very Merry Christmas ..yeah unlike some ass holes I'm not afraid to say the word "Christmas" to others who believe in it, even though ...well you know what I am [img]/images/graemlins/tongue.gif[/img].
