        yes Zeegs and I'm a bit pissed...I bought it the day it came out...THE DAY!

        They got all "poppy" and shit...like the newer In Flames...man , I LOVE the early shit...

        I saw the transformation comming but hoping it wasn't so...it's so.

        I like Bjorn Speed Strid...I love Terror 2000 , that's the shit , Disharmonia Mundi...

        I like it better than the new In Flames...but they went the same lame way....I like it aggressive , tight and straight forward...I'm not diggin' the clean vox and happy "uplifting" progressions like this American Metal-core stuff...it doesn't sound like Soilwork...I'm a stickler when it comes to this crap..

        They want to appeal to Americans...well I think americans like the old soilwork...just be who you are...and don't try and guess what others want you to be...man I hate that! [img]/images/graemlins/mad.gif[/img]

                John and I went to the House of Blues and saw Manowar and Rhapsody..

                I couldn't wait to see Rhapsody...they never been here in the states before..I don't spend too much time listening to European power metal these days...I go in phases...for weeks , months ...years at a time..

                but Rhapsody is a benchmark to what most of those bands are compared..so I had much aniticipation..

                For one ...I give them props for playing the entire set to a click track...to keep in sync with the samples and soundtrack themes..that is hard work. Everyone in that band is a virtuoso...the bass player sound a lot like me...he took a solo..that was a page out of my book from years ago..but musically they didn't excite me all too much..they are GREAT in every way..but sometimes that folkish , upbeat stuff just kind of bores me a bit...but I did appreciate and enjoyed them very much...

                Manowar was cool...I never seen them before...so I was looking forward to that. Joey D sure likes to hear himself talk..that's OK...he broke a string during his sloppy , boring as hell bass solo...so we had to hear him talk for about five minutes ..until he got his bass back...just to go on with the solo..I wouldn't care if it was like the solo of the bassist of Rhapsody...but it's not...it blew and for way too long..The guitarist David Shankle was very cool and firey...I liked him...Eric Adams vocals was strong as hell...he always had a powerful voice...the music...well it's manowar...cheezy , classic...it was metal and they did it very well!

                I had to wash my clothes and take a shower for the usual cigerette smoke shit...man that stinks like fuck...

                  Bill, people are filthy. Perfect example: I'm at my local sports bar last night with 5 buddies, and 2 skanks walk up and sit down at the table next to us. When I say skanks, I mean they're not bad looking, but you'll see what I mean. They start out by saying hi to all of us very loudly, then asking if we had a lighter. Then the louder of the two makes it quite obvious that they are looking to get gang fucked. [img]/images/graemlins/laugh.gif[/img] Seriously, she says "Jesus Christ, you guys must all be fucking gay. There's two drunk chicks here and we can't get picked up". They were just bitter because we were ignoring them. In hindsight, it might be a male pride thing. If it was just two of us, we'd probably have hit them. [img]/images/graemlins/laugh.gif[/img] NASTY!! I would venture to say that these whores would have let all 6 of us take turns on them, no fucking problem. Downright filthy.                         speaking of the new soilwork album.


                        I think its not half bad. I like alot of the riffs. It's very simple which makes it easier for the masses to enjoy. But compared to Figure Number Five..it is a thrashfest (that's not saying much).

                        Way better than FNF. IMO. But no where near waht they ahve the potential to do. Those leads on Chainheart Machine are amazing! and they pull them off live! They're super good players.!

                            one thing is for sure. Anders (In Flames vocalist) can't sing worth shit. And if he had a brain he'd go back to the vocal style he used on Whoracle and The Jester Race.

                                I like Killswitch to be honest, and their vocals aren't half as sappy as the new Soilwork. That surpasses even my enormous tolerance for gayness. Okay, well maybe I don't have an enormous tolerance for gayness, but I do like killswitch. HAH!!
