Bill, Ive been through it all with her. She is Bi-polar. She sees a shrink. She's been hospitalized. We've been through it all. I took an oath "For Better or Worse" and I'm a man of my word. Caliing in the authorities just leads to more hospital bills for me and it doesn't really help her. I know when to call and when not to. Last night was right on the edge but I knew I could handle it without spending the night in the ER and her being in the "Hospital" for a week or so. There is a bright side though. Whenever something like this happens, she gets very loving towards me and appreciative of me being there for her. In other word, I get special favors for a while.
