Changed all my eq settings last night..got a whole different feel to it..one that seems to like me at the moment..we shall see.

Nah ..the gain is still maxed..I wanted a compromise between a good rythm tone and a great lead tone..so I was playing with the mids and presence..to get a better singing tone..it helped..it helped alot..

But I did back off the bass knob, its not as dark and into edgier territoty..

Going for the "Nevermore" tone..that you hear on record..I'm getting that! [img]/images/graemlins/grin.gif[/img]

even jeff loomis can't get THE nevermore tone out of a recto live....well, out of a 3ch recto. for recording he always used the 2ch versions. much better amps as far as i'm concerned
