Exactly. Kids should be allowed to be kids and not worry about crap like that. All they know is that their friends are going to dress up for halloween, and get a pile of candy. Denying them that is almost child abuse.

On Paper ..I am a "CATHOLIC"..have to "play the game" to keep my son in a prestigious private school for a quality education at 3k a year..no other options in the inner city besides sending him to a zoo.. What has change before and after Christ's so called "sacrifice"..and what "sacrifice"..that was his job..he took the task humbly , willingly and lovingly..Right???

Jesus was sent here to save us from the sin that Lucifer wanted to prevent in the first place. The arguement between God and Lucifer was "free Agency"..God being all knowing and being our "Creator" knew this would lead man to sin..Lucifer knew this too..that was the arguement and why Lucifer and a third of Gods angels got their ass kicked out of Heaven..

Because Lucifer had the BALLS to call God on a Mistake that he made..

God created Lucifer..and gave him "The Light" The only being beside God that shares the same knowledge but didn't have the powers to act upopn that same knowledge. Lucifer was God's voice of reason and gave him guilt from "logic"..the logic God himself gave him..God lost faces amopung one third of his angels and got Uber pissed..

So what did Satan do..he prooved God wrong with the veru FIRST humans..Adam and Eve..then to Cain and Able..to the book of Noah where God was disgusted of his creation..his favorite creation "Man"...which Lucifer pointed out and prooved were a pathetic abortion ..So that is exactly what God did..he tried to kill us off..all of us..with a flood that would make Katrina look like a soft gentle sprinkle on a spring afternoon...

Who was right per that Bible..God or Satan..who really went to bat for mankind and was sacrificed..Satan or Jesus..who paid the ultimate price..Jesus sits in Heaven where he came from..where is Satan..

Ok, that's bullshit too. Getting candy on Halloween isn't an entitlement. It's just a goofball made up celebration. Living in the south you see a lot of people that don't go for Halloween. I don't see the big deal either way. My kids will be getting candy but a lot of their friends won't be.

The thing I do find fucked up is how I am able to respect their wishes not to participate in Halloween but those small-minded religious lemmings have to look down on me because we do participate.

I've said this before but when it comes to religion I wish more people would participate and I wish they would meet more often. I think church should become a nightly thing for them after work. In fact, they should eat dinner at church every night. And several meals at church on the weekend. This would dramatically improve my quality of life. The wait times at restaurants will be shorter, the traffic patterns will be simpler because they're all headed to the same place, and the hardware store will be all mine on Sunday.

It's not necessarily an "entitlement" issue. It's a privalege of course, not a right, and I'm fully aware that the whole candy thing is bullshit, but lets face it, kids want to have what their friends have. I can understand parents not wanting their kids to have candy for health reasons, but when it is a religious issue, that's what is ridiculous. My son almost NEVER eats candy. He really isn't interested in it. On the odd occasion he gets some, he ends up spitting it out and leaving it someplace for me to step on. [img]/images/graemlins/laugh.gif[/img]
