Regardless of all that's been stated, I haven't come across any Church of Satan assistance volunteers down here, but there are lots of Baptists and Lutherans. The Catholics are not doing as much as the Protestants I'm sad to say. The Salvation Army and Red Cross are basically blowing us off at this point. So Christians are putting their money and time where their mouth is to help us, and I don't see the pagans or Satanists doing that; that's my point to those slagging Christians today. They will feed and clothe you after your house gets knocked down, whether you're Christian or not.

Is he NOT the Creator..that makes these things happen...wasn't what happen in God's design..his plan for us..then why pray?

I respectfully ask this question...because he wasn't there for me when I needed him..I was on my own and I'll always be on my own.

He designed a planet that uses hurricanes to discharge excess heat buildup in the ocean. It's not His job to protect us from every aspect of nature; He is God and we are his creatures, and subjects. Nevertheless, it's His worshippers who are here helping us, far beyond anything the government or any other agency is doing. While everyone else wastes time blaming each other for the fucked-up response, that very fucked-up response is going away while a million people are still prostrated. FEMA and the Red Cross are cutting aid off because they're worried about fraud - because of CNN and Fox coverage. Now I'm sure that's happening, 10 to 20% ofr the time, but because of the media bringing this to their attention , on top of the slow response by local, state and Feds, their answer is to fuck the 80 or 90% that honestly need help, lest they play into the hands of the scammers. Because of that I can't get vouchers for medication, and am going around to church run clinics and begging a few days' worth at a time of maybe half the meds I need. But at least they're doing something, the government used Wilma as an excuse to pull up most of what they had left this week. I feel bad for those that Wilma hits, especially in the Caribbean, Yucatan and Cuba, but it'll be a Category 1 when it hits Florida.

Katrina response was fucked up, but instead of fixing it for the victims, they've just decided, "Oh, we'll do better next time". That's fine if you're not in the middle of the disaster zone.

Actions speak louder than words; that's what my late mother always told me. The people who are helping us down here right now and since the hurricane, are Christians. They're the ones staying now that everyone else is leaving. To me, that's what matters.

No, it's not ridiculous. In fact, I think it is commendable. It would be very easy for parents to just compromise their beliefs on Halloween and go with the flow. By standing by their beliefs and not participating, I think they are demonstrating that their values mean something to them and that they will not bend for popular culture.

Whether you or I agree with their beliefs is another matter.

People's religions are part of their belief and value system. There are many things that religious folks allow their children to do that goes against my beleif and value system.

Bottom line for me is that your statement is demonstrating an intolerance for someone's beliefs - that is the ultimate irony to me because religious groups tend to be filled with the most intolerant people I know of.

Rich my brother , Please do NOT take any offense of me slamming God...for it is of my own personal reasons. I think you are one hell of a guy and friend. Like I told you many times before , most of my friends and Family are Christian and I love them with all my heart.

My personal beliefs are my own..and I share them as Christians do. Most people I know are Christian..this country is mostly Christian..Most people know what a "christian" is..

Not many (Endrik) know what a Satanist is...So I explain it. My beliefs are the most ridiculed of all religions. If and when I wear my symbol of "belief" I get sneers and gawks like you won't believe..by folks that are wearing theirs ...a cross. You can be a preist or a thug and wear a cross without a second glance from anyone..

I can be well manicured, groomed and dressed ,eating dinner with my beautiful family..and be sitting next to a table of Bloods or Crips...BUT I get they "eyefucks"..Not them.. [img]/images/graemlins/laugh.gif[/img]

So , I don't wear mine that often because of prejudice...I don't need the hassle..nor does my family.

I'll wear it when I'm alone out and about..because I'm "different" when I'm alone..I can be MYSELF when I'm alone..and throwdown with anyone who seems to have a problem with who I am...but that NEVER happens..I usualy end it within seconds if I'm, ever challenged or "provoked"..I'm good like that!
