My son went to try out for a hockey team yesterday. His best friend plays so he wanted to go for it. We got him some new rollerblades and a stick a week or two ago. He hadn't skated in a couple years so he practiced all week.

So he goes to this tryout and the coach ended up throwing him to train with the kids that had been playing for a number of years already. Apparently Danny did really well in terms of speed and endurance - he's a fast little stinker. He didn't make the team because they're already halfway through the season and the coach said he needs to work on his stick skills and learn to stop - he's never had a reason to stop before [img]/images/graemlins/laugh.gif[/img] The coach said he had great natural talent and suggested a couple upcoming clinics for him - looks like next season he'll be playing!

Bill and Tim, glad to hear your kids are doing good things. My 13 yr old step-daughter was taken away from school in handcuffs on Monday....Looooong Story but she deserved it, she's now in a "Behavior Modification Facility". Wife wrecked her car last Thursday, $3400 in damage, luckily I have a $100 deductible. I don't think I'm gonna quit drinking this week. [img]/images/graemlins/laugh.gif[/img]
I think I need an Atomic Fed Ex.

Thanks Em. Don't worry, I'm still laughing and smiling. Fuck it, what else am I supposed to do? Be miserable? I have a roof over my head and I have my health and I have a job. I'm not in Iraq and I can drink a cold beer whenever I feel like it. I got it better than so many people do right now, I have no right to complain.

i'm with jack, the worse things get, the happier i become.
these are the concrete signs and final stages of losing whatever sanity you were given in the first place. it's great work if you can find it in my case.
