    Yo RJ ..I SUCK at Drums..I'm like a Magilla Gorilla tryin' to play the fuggin' drums..I suck much ass..

    My kid was 5..start beatin' on pots and pans..nobody gave him this idea..i certainly did want to hear the racket.. [img]/images/graemlins/laugh.gif[/img]

    but he gave me the idea to buy him a $100 toy set from Toys R Us..

    He took to it like a fish to water with amazing "meter"..I was fucking shock and awed..he's a natural!!

    Vinny started to play with two feet on one pedal at five..nobody told about this..

    He hears double kicks in my music and the metal I listened to..he just did it on his own..with very little guidance from me..what do I know about drums.

    So the following Christmas I bought him a new Sonor set with a double kick pedal and a few extra toms and pangs/splashes and etc....he's been blastin' ever since..he just turned 11 now , we're having his Birthday party today in fact..

    He's already becoming a monster and can smoke most dudes I've jammed with..

    He's got great feel and meter..much what lacks in alot of drummers I've noticed..around here anyways.

    BTW..Like his o'l man..No lessons..we don't need no stinkin' lessons.. [img]/images/graemlins/laugh.gif[/img]

    They don't have lessons to make you "awesome"!

          I bought my kid Ethan one of those mini guitars. It's a real guitar, just small. I originally planned on giving it to him for his birfday in December, but I'm not sure he's ready for it. He turns 6, but he doesn't seem to be musically inclined yet. I'm gonna buy him a shitty cheap Ukelele, and see how long it takes him to smash it first.

              Zeegs I bought my kid a baby strat before he was born...He finally wanted to take to it about 4..just plinkin' on it..

              I thought for ceratin he'd be a guitarist..since I am.

              Well he still plinks on it and he's getting better..

              so I killed two birds with one stone and bought him a Line 6 Syder II for his bedroom to practice and plink on..

              and I use it too when I'm upstairs.. [img]/images/graemlins/tongue.gif[/img] [img]/images/graemlins/wink.gif[/img]

              I played it in the strore and said "oh fuck yeah!!!"..

              But he's not taking to guitar like the drums..the passion and natural ability isn't the same..

              I did buy him a "first act" small acoustic for him to get use to first before I gave him the baby strat..I didn't want him to "Pete Townsend" the strat.. [img]/images/graemlins/laugh.gif[/img]

                Ethan had a couple of those shitty plastic guitars before, but you can't actually make music on them. He dragged them around the house for a while until they got stepped on. [img]/images/graemlins/laugh.gif[/img]

                        My puppies are gone. My wife FINALLY got a job and now ther will be nobody home to give them attention so for their own sake we passed them along to another foster home. I'm still very sad though.
                        Don't forget the corn. It's nutritious, delicious, and ribbed for her pleasure.

                          Jack, sorry to hear the puppies are gone, but you did the right thing. Glad to hear the wife got a job too, I'm sure the extra money will help and she'll be too tired to gripe as much about you letting the cops lock up your stepdaughter. You did the right thing there too, better for her to get the idea while it's stil something you could decide on instead of her going on to felony action.Sometimes tough love is what's needed.Hey guys, speaking of a hafl-decent real instrument for real cheap, I got my great-niece (18 months) a First Act ukelele when I was in evacuation. I couldn't play the "real" ukelele tuning so I tuned it to an open D chord and got her attention with the Barney theme! [img]/images/graemlins/laugh.gif[/img] She has learned to strum which ain't bad for 18 months, and she likes to toss it around like a little rocker girl too!She really makes me wish I had kids of my own...

                            Thanks Rich. My step-daughter came home yesterday and my wife said right away they shouldn't have let her out yet. She did really well today though and we're hoping to have her on track for good things. anyway, I'm off to take the wife and kid to a haunted house. BOO!!!

                              But I'm happy that they went to a good home, I wish more people that have animal friends could be as responsible as you are. If you can't provide the care and companionship they need, they really need to be adopted by someone else.

                                Samhain..that's right!!

                                Funny how they celebrate "Halloween" in catholics schools who turned it around to suite thier own agenga..much like Christmas.

                                Pagans were robbed of ther special day without a single thought by the norm..much like how we took this land from the Indians and never looked back..

                                It's all about man and his "needs"..and the majority rules!

                                and if you don't conform to the majority..you are a "freak"..

                                This I know , accept and expect from others...being what I am.
