      I'm glad a bunch of the bible thumpers keep their kids home on Halloween. It means less people out there tonight and more candy for my kids (and me). Also, I get to walk around in a silly ass mask and mock them as they stare out their windows in disgust and horror.
      I want REAL change. I want dead bodies littering the capitol.

        I don't "believe" in no such dieties..you should know this.

        But , I like to discredit them with simple logic..that defies man's superstition.

        I do this by going to the very source of infection that is called The Bible. [img]/images/graemlins/grin.gif[/img]

        If you read that book as a book and NOTHING more..you will clearly see who is the prick!

        The invention of "God" goes against the very nature of man..he was invented against Man's own will... But the majority always wins.

        Mark Twain put his twist on this theme in his "Letters from Earth"..in which Satan is the heroe..using The Bible as his source as well.

        Where "Satan" represents "Logic" and has pity and compassion of God's experiment/abortion..

        In MY beliefs.Lucifer is a "symbol" of that rebellion with logic!! [img]/images/graemlins/wink.gif[/img]

        Call me a Humanist with anti-Christian morals and needs..if "Satanist"..isn't a "word" of your liking. [img]/images/graemlins/tongue.gif[/img]

            we live in a very typical "religious" neighborhood most of Vin's school chums live here...I never experienced or witnessed this "bias" on Halloween..

              Me either - I grew up in northern Virginia outside of DC and then moved to the Seattle area 8.5 years ago.

              Living in the Raleigh, NC area has given me a whole new perspective on thumping the bible.

              These people take their church stuff pretty fucking seriously.

              The churches around here a GINORMOUS.

              My son and I were out driving around after we first moved here and we passed this MONSTER sized series of buildings and I said to my son "I wonder what university that is". It was a Presbyterian church! [img]/images/graemlins/what.gif[/img] It was larger than the community college I went too!

                Yeah , same here Tim..we have some MASSIVE old churches on the lower west and east side of town..the "older" parts of town.

                Gothic arches , Gargoyles..the whole ball of wax..beautiful architecture really!!!

                I welcome ANY bible thumper..for one they NEVER knock on my door..my door is NOT very welcoming..not even on Halloween [img]/images/graemlins/laugh.gif[/img]

                I worked with many "bible thumpers" and fundamentalists at the airport..nothing but at Airports..you name a religion..they have a booth at the airport. [img]/images/graemlins/tongue.gif[/img]

                which is great because that has honed my skills as a Sataniist to debate them on their own beliefs..which I always know more about than they..more often than not.

                What I find funny as hell is the first thing during any of these "discission" they always want to "pray" for me or tell / teach me of God..Just so I can quote scripture..and laugh and go .."oh you mean this".. [img]/images/graemlins/laugh.gif[/img]

                Some shake their heads in disbelief ..because I KNOW their side of the coin so well ..they do NOT know mine..nor want to.. [img]/images/graemlins/grin.gif[/img]

                Then they show me "bias" at that point..because I am a threat to their beliefs and disarm them of any "logical" arument..they just rest of their "faith"..which is basically stating.."well because , so there".. [img]/images/graemlins/grin.gif[/img]

                You must remeber the "role" of Lucifer in the Bible..what did he do..he rebelled with God w/ the logic God himself gave to him..

                  Bill, I've see the sorts of church's you are talking about in many cities in this country and in Europe. Here in the south they call religious buildings of that size the outhouse.                     We have this ONE church on E55th street and one on the east side..it just a old ROUND humoungous building..that baby's huge...I have zero clue what kind of church that is ..I know its not catholic.. [img]/images/graemlins/tongue.gif[/img]

                    but it's big...may not be a big as the ones your talking about...

                    There is supposed to be two pages of scripture that is kept at the Vatican..written by JC himself.

                    what is ironic , the church will NOT acknowledge it in their belief system..and it is right from the horse's mouth.

                    it says something to the effect of .. "God is in you and all around you NOT in buildings made of wood and stone"..so right off the bat JC is against orgainized religion...hmmmmmmmm..I wonder if that may be the reason why it is exempt...ya think?

                    In the new Testament ..JC went off on the "money changers"..asking for money to join and support their faith.

                    They didn't listen to JC..none of the Christ Humping religions do..now that is in black and white in the Bible..but everyone seems to gloss over that now don't they..when it comes to MONEY!!

                    What is The Bible..Oh just the foundation of the entire belief system is all..the very "word of God"..right?! [img]/images/graemlins/grin.gif[/img]

                      BTW there is little known of Christ's youth in the new testament..just his birth and then his "sacrifice" really..

                      Theologians and historians alike say that there is many books from the bible that were exempt per the church..they picked and choosed what is now The Bible..

                      It is said that Christ as a child was a little rascal..once pushing his best friend off a roof top..just so he could bring him back to life..before many winesses.

                          The majority of the folk here do celebrate Halloween and welcome it, it is part of their culture and is called "Day of the Dead" or "Dia de los Muertos".
                          That is very very cool, their celebration is steeped in Pagan roots and is celebrated the same way.
                          What I find hilarious are the folks that spread the message that Halloween is an evil holiday, yet they celebrate it at their church functions. [img]/images/graemlins/laugh.gif[/img]
                          Let's just call it a "Fall Festival" and dress up and get candy but we'll leave out the religious aspect (which is honoring dead Ancestors). [img]/images/graemlins/laugh.gif[/img]

                          Pagan holidays are just more fun. Everyone wants to celebrate them but they don't want to be labled as "freaks". Whatever. [img]/images/graemlins/laugh.gif[/img]

                          There are exceptions though, like my neighbors. They hide on Halloween, in fact, they avoid our family like the plague for the whole month. I wonder how they would feel if we did that to them at Christmas?
                          They go hog wild with the Jesus decorations at Christmas and bring us Christmas goodies, which is thoughtful.

                            Well in my "upbringing" I was told every year by nuns and preists alike that dressing up in these scary costumes was to protect you on Hallow's Eve..where evil spirits roamed free ...probably looking for candy! [img]/images/graemlins/laugh.gif[/img]
