I'm kind of wrapped up over here getting my entrepeneur of a daughter straightened out without crushing her awesomeness.
Keith is getting ready to leave on assignment for the rest of the month...
Every year it's the same thing, it's a busy time for me personally.
He'll be home for Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day but I have to get everything ready by myself, so I'm WICKED BUSY.
I look forward to the time that we can actually all participate in the holiday prep together as a family, it's a lot of work for me.
One year I just said "SCREW IT" (that was the year Keith was at war and wasn't home at all) the kids and I had TV dinners for Thanksgiving and did nothing for Christmas, except Santa Claus (who received his order via the internet).
I didn't leave the house for two months.

WOW Sis , that was FAST response..!!!!

You sure do sound VERY busy Emmy. I hate being busy , but it looks like I will be as well. Vin does Wrestling three night in a row , then he'll have tournaments on the weekends this Winter ..all over the place. It is VERY grueling practice , I forgot how grueling it was. But he toughed it out ..and he loves it. So I am committed as long as he is..

My ONLY bitch is that the practice / padded room is only aprox 14 X 25 and that's it ..no place to sit or stand..so I stand in the hallway. Not cool with the back..ahhh man. There is four coaches and 16 kids in this room..they are like monkeys in there was hanging off the ceiling..literally!

Most parents just drop off their kids and boogie ..I'm the only one that stays and watches the practice..Once he gets settled in..I may go shopping and or whatever and go back ..standing over two hours just kicks my ass..friggin' arthritis.. [img]/images/graemlins/frown.gif[/img]

How is Kho doing in school..better I hope. Tell her not to be so bored..Like Rich said..repeating that class..ahhh man , talk about bored ..that'll be way past bored!

Instead of holding her back..can she take some kind of "test" and get pushed fast foward..I heard of that. In fact my neice..Val's brother's child skiped 7th grade all together..went from 6th right to 8th..I don't know how that works..

EMMY , I am SOOOO happy for my sister's kid , my little nephew Allan...He was just here this weeken for Vin's birthday. He has been off his ritilin for three weeks now and WHAT A CHANGE. He's is not so withdrawn now. His appetite is unbelievable..He never ate..NEVER. He ate three pieces of pizza and a big dish of pasta when he was here. My whole family couldn't believe it. He's not a "zombie" anymore..No dark circles under his eyes , he gained 6 lbs already , and most important..he is SMILING..I havn't seen him smile in four years..since they put him on that God aweful drug.

My sis PROMISED the entire family that she will NEVER put him on that crap again..no matter how he does in school..which BTW is fine.

I think doctors and parents are way too quick to throw there kids on that merry go round..for their own convienience..a chemical baby sitter..yeah keep them in a "stupor" for their rest and relaxation..

I think that is a cheap "short cut" that does NOT have the best interest of the child at stake.

This is MY observation within my own family. Now my sister sees the differenece and vowed never to do that again..I sure hope so.

Now , I'm sure there are legitimate cases of ADD out there..where that crap is warranted..but I bet you..knowing doctors ..which I believe go through the motions without really giving a flying fuck..also my own personal experience..that crap seems to be way over-prescribed and is the fix all..

I spoke with a contractor on Monday. He's going to come out soon. Looks like the studio/jam room project is finally going to get underway. I've got an area approximately 15'x 30' to finish off for this. One half will be the main jam room with drums and amps and stuff. The other will be where I setup the computer and stuff to record as well as my deep thought and contemplation space [img]/images/graemlins/laugh.gif[/img]

I've been looking over the Auralex sites and it looks like they'll be getting some of my money soon enough.

No Biggie..John was on the phone at that time..She didn't give me the "heads up" about cutting her hair..she came downstairs all wet saying..."Cut my hair"..which is not a prob..but I was right in the middle of something that would taken me a minute to finish..but 30 seconds into her waite..she's sighing , huffin' and puffin'...then goes in the other room and starts "mumbling" bullcrap in earshot.. I HATE that.!

She knows I hate that..she's been doing that for 20 years.. I been complaining about it for 20 years..so where's the mystery..

I have learned in 20 years together ..no matter what..people do NOT change..whatever little "quirks" your spouse has from day one will ALWAYS be there..never to change or bend in the slightest..'till death do you part.

My mom and dad has been bickering for 42 years over the same EXACT things..42 years.

Example..My dad HATES butter..The word "hate" doesn't come close to how my dad feels about butter..

My mom still has to be told NOT to put butter on his toast..42 years and she can't remember not to butter his toast??

They do this on purpose goddamit..they bust our balls slowly..a chinese water torture..

A slight poke in the arm doesn't hurt..but poke that spot everday for 20 years and it will hurt and drive you fuggin' NUTS!!!

Now , I will cut my wife's hair..I like cutting hair..I'm pretty good at it..I should be gay.

She has very beutiful thick , long dark hair..and most places go scissor crazy no matter what you tell 'em.. she trusts me..her mom is a beautician for 40 years , and has her own shoppe..she won't let her touch her hair..

So my family saves alot of money on haircuts..
