JESUS H. CHRIST!!! CPS wants to talk to me now because when I tried to get my kid out of the vehicle yesterday she tried to bite me so I slappped her so now I'm being accused of abuse. I know some of you will say that's no way to treat a child but sorry I was raised a certain way and a child DOES NOT treat a parent step or otherwise that way. Fine if it's somone she doesn't know but I'll be damned if i'll be treated that way by somebody whose roof I put over her head, clothes I put on her back and food I put on her table. Maybe i'm wrong but I've put up with alot. That shit don't fly. I don't know anymore, maybe I'm wrong but I sure as hell don't think so.

man I watched Gary Moore's DVD Live at Monsters Of Rock 2003. His bass player and drummer sounded great but Gary....god...what happened to him....his tone was very thin, scooped and fizzy, and he was sloppy as hell. And he couldn't sing either. Makes me wonder, why did he release that DVD?

Bro, that could be a big problem. You have to present that you lost your cool in the moment and that it's an isolated incident. If you show anger at them questioning you, you will get pinned on this. CPS is vested in making YOU the cause of the girl's behavioral problems. You HAVE TO keep your cool; I know it's not easy, but you're the only sane one in your house, so you have to be the one to keep a grip.

Her trying to bite you is a pretty serious provocation. I'm sure you were shocked and it was a reflex. Express remorse, mention the stress, but do not act like you have a chip on your shoulder. I understand how you feel and what you're going through, but those CPS fucks will crucify you.
You have to keep cool, period.

So try to relax, your Charvel catalog is coming...

It sounds like he may not be around to receive it, Lerx. You make some very good points and offer good advice but I suggest Jack feels remorse in addition to expressing it. In my time as a parent I have never had to endure what he is going through, so a comment about the slapping would be based on nothing more than my own personal feelings toward the issue of striking a child. Obviously, there is more going on here than JTR taking a shot at a kid and I wish both he and the girl all my best. [img]/images/graemlins/frown.gif[/img]

If she keeps this up Jack and worse comes to worse..you can always file UNRULY on her with the CPS..that's not a good/easy thing to do ..and I know you want avoid that like the plague. But it is good to know that option is there in case you need it. I mean she already called the cops when you disciplined her.

This is tough stuff Bro , I wish you the best and just keep on her..like you said she has a good heart and you know she has ":good" in her..she needs counseling or anger management classes it seems..

If anything she won't like the classes and just "behave"
so she don't have to go to them..

Now since a complaint was made to CPS. Your are now "red flagged". They are obligated to do a full blown invest on you. Your ass is covered for the fact that there is an ongoing history of unrulyness at school and elsewhere..

Now when she calls the cops ..they will be advised that there is a CPS case pending or history..which enables her to make a bogus complaint..isn't that precious. Believe me I know this as FACT!

What I don't get IS : Since she is supposed to be fearful of you , from a mere "look" ...Then why is she biting you..That doesn NOT sound like she either fears NOR respects you..

If this continues and before YOU catch a abuse case..I would file Unruly on her..

Maybe she needs to see a DH for a couple of months..better this now that her getting hurt , killed or in Jail later. She got jumped for a reason Jack. She may have a "good" heart but she's being a asshole.

I had 13 years experience in dealing with these matters. Confer with a a Juvenile Detective Magistrate immediately..and get this ball rolling..or the only thing rolling will be your head.

Now you didn't take my advice on pressing charges in that assaut case. That may still bite you in the ass 1 to 2 years in a civil court. You are not out of the water on that yet. If nothing further happens of that incident consider yourself VERY lucky.

Take my advise this time Jack ..Confer with the Juvenile Magistrate IMMEDIATELY!!!!!!

Jack , let me paint a crystal clear picture for you. Your daughter calls the Police to your home. Before they arrive they're advised by radio that there is a CPS case pending with all the numbers. These officers may NOT be familiar with your situation. Upon their arrival they and seperate you and your daughter. She makes a complaint that you hit , pushed , smacked , slapped , spanked , kicked , punched , spoon , belt..etc..and observe ANY sign of a physical abuse , such as a tiny mark. Guess who will be wearing the Smith and Wesson braclets and hearing the Miranda rights. You will be sitting in the joint until you go to court in the morning before a judge. Hoepefully not on a Friday..you'll be sitting there the whole weekend.

Hmmmmm...I wonder how I know this.

Talk to a Magistrate c/w filing Unruly on your daughter before this happens.

She may still reside with you if you file..talk to a magistrate NOW!!
