Is Chuck gone ..I was wondering that..I think he temporarily bialed..because of that blow out..with Pat..that was unfortunate. They were both cool in my book..well with me anyways..Chuck had his "moments" but he's sick..so I take it from the source..I can relate.

Hey Bill,

Yeah I'm in a building with power and heating/AC, I'm lucky compared to many. But I can't go anywhere in any direction without seeing the tent cities and FEMA trailer parks that have sprung up, so I'm speaking for those folks. Now the tent cities built by the military are pretty nice, they have the comforts of home. It's the people living on the slabs of their old homes in $99 Academy Sports tents that have a grim time of it. While their insurance companies tell them they're not paying. The flood agent says the wind did it, the wind agent says the storm surge did it, the flood guy says a storm surge "isn't" a flood. Multiply that by a million people and you see the problem. Folks can't start to rebuild. They paid those premiums faithfully since the last Big One (Camille) and the insurance companies lapped it up. Now it's time to pay up and they're stonewalling. A couple of insurance CEOs should be shot and maybe they'd stop dancing around and pay up.

Yeah, Chuck moved back to AZ so I imagine besides taking a break from here he is digging getting back to his old friends and bandmates. I was sorry to see all that, he and Pat are both good folks. I am beholden to Chuck and I think
Pat is a hardline "straight up" guy. He was harsh as hell to Chuck but I guess he felt he had to back his belief. It's a shame he felt that no one could disagree with him without him leaving here. We all have differing opinions, I remember getting pissy with Chuck in the alder vs. poplar thread among others. But when it was over it's always back to good will. He and I share that illness perspective, you
learn that your mortality is real and close to you daily.
It makes life more precious, not less. Though sometimes you want to throw in the towel too, that's just mood swings.
I know your beliefs are different, Bill, but every day when I wake I thank God for the day and for life. It's the greatest gift, with all the good, the bad, and the ugly it brings. It's too short to fight with good friends about small stuff, and like Diamond Dave said, it's ALL small stuff. Well, besides the hurricane, tsunami, earthquake, fire and mudslide stuff. That shit really hurts.

Rich, Well I'm glad you are doing as well as could be for the moment. I woiuld be so outta sorts in your shoes..but seems that you are doing MUVH better than others...But it coild be worse..and I'm glad that is NOT the case with you bro. I can't even imagine going thru that shit..well you have no choice..so you make the best of what you have at the time..like you're doing..glad to see you well and in decent spirits.

I would be a difinite be A "Bah Humbugger" if I were in you're shoES, but would try to put on a facade for the boy at least..I would have to.

I'm OK here, trying up some loose ends that's costing me some coin..new CRAFTMEN snow humper 3000 cost me nearly a grand and furniture for the house for me and the Mrs...but with my neck and back..shoveling is no longer an option..I found that out last year..big time [img]/images/graemlins/what.gif[/img]

BioMechanical is AWESOME..I'm liking it..another band on metal blade..ummmm...waite I forgot the name..let me get it..kick ass thrash..The Absence "from you grave"..its cool..I like it....check out a sample before you buy..it's not for everybody..but it hooked me..and the new Old Mans CVhild and Hypocrisy RULES...but not for folks into power/prog metal!!

I'll give a new metal review on the all new stuff I picked up..but first I have to listen to it..yeah, that makes sense. [img]/images/graemlins/tongue.gif[/img]

Hey zurlo, do you like Michael Manring? IMO he is pretty badass bass player, I think I'll go see him but he doesn't have a backing band, only he and his bass. Dunno what to expect...

Yes Michael Manring is great..very similar tapping style to what I do..

I have ONE Manring cd with Alex Skolnick on it...it's cool...it's more of a wankefest ...not as "musical" a player as Stu Hamm IMO...Stu is a one man band...all by his lonesome. [img]/images/graemlins/grin.gif[/img]
