  • Your favorite pick!

This morning I went to a new music instruments shop of my city and I bought some picks,so I thought about this post.I finally found the pickboy with the weed feather. It's one of my fav,I used it a lot since it was avalaible here, then turned to the Ibanez Paul Gilbert, now again the weed feather and my beloved pickboy carbon nylon 0.88.Share your picks opinions! Dunlop Jazz III
Small and pointy as hell. I've been using them for the last 15 years or so and can't play with anything else now. I tried a full sized Tortex the other day and I felt like I was playing with a dinner plate.

metal picks, thin, but like steel. they are the best when available.
Not helping the situation since 1965!

Haha, and I can't play using those small, pointy picks. They get lost in my hands, and that sharp point feels so weak to me.

                            Re: Your favorite pick!

In the '80s and early '90s, all I used was the blue Dunlop Tortex 1.0mm, then I switched to the purple Gator Grip .96 for quite awhile.
Now I switch back and forth between 4 different Dunlop picks... the Gator Grip .96, the Gels red/heavy, yellow/extra heavy or Ultex 1.0.
I feel my soul go cold... only the dead are smiling.

Purple Dunlop 1.14mm for me too....but I eat them by the box with my picking style, and tend to go thru about 5 or 6 of them in a single sitting.
