Here's a link to a site that tracks accidents at amusement parks Theme Park Insider

This isn't how I'd want to go-
2/11/2004 - Magic Kingdom Afternoon Parade (Walt Disney World) Javier Cruz, 38, of Orlando, who played Pluto, was killed when he was run over and crushed by a float at the beginning of the Magic Kingdom's afternoon parade.

5/31/2003 - The Raven (Holiday World)
Tamar Fellner, 32, of New York, unhooked her seat belt after leaving the station on the Raven coaster. She stood up as the train crested a hill, and was then thrown from the train, falling 69 feet to her death. Fellner was a member of American Coaster Enthusiasts, who were meeting at the park for the annual "Stark Raven Mad" event.

Stupid.

She sure sounded like a bright one, eh? Too bad though, that's a sucky way to die.

You folks are a bunch of sick fuckers!!

I've ridden my share of amusement park rides--but seeing the scary people that are hired to maintain them, you tend to think twice about it...

Re: Amusement Park Accidents

It's interesting to me that the Consumer Product Safety Commissions tracks amusement park injuries through a network of hospitals, none of which are actually near an amusement park.

So when Six Flags or one of the parks points to the reported safety of amusement parks, the figures they use are potentially quite distorted, if the Consumer Product Safety Commission statistics are used.

Hey! I work at an amusement park! Ok, I see your point...
The scariest part of a waterpark isn't the employees, it's the idiots that can't or won't follow the rules on rides. Had a lady take a sleeping baby on a raft ride, and a guy flipped and busted the front of his head because he sat up too soon.
