I am translating some subtitles, but I cannot translate this one: "To return to the main menu press pound one five."

Please, someone explain me that "pound one five" part. What should this person press, besides 1 and 5?

#=pound... It's the English designation for the American "lb."

Guy is holding a cell phone and the voice from it says so.
Otherwise I know what pound is, but I don't know what meaning does it have here.

#15 sounds like a code for something. From a cell phone it could be anything. It depends on the cell service provider. What are you doing when you hear that message?
