A good body shop can do the conversion for you. I would be willing to wager a fair number of these around on display and in movies and TV are actually clones. The beauty of the clone car is you can drive it and enjoy it.

        [/ QUOTE ]

I couldn't agree more. My dream would be an AAR Cuda or T/A challanger, but if I ever did get one, I wouldn't want to drive it. Whats the point of having the damn thing! That would be an easy clone as well as long as you weren't going concours with it. I really need to get another car. Here was my last cuda with my sons, Sam and Ben.

This is what I wanted to do with it.

        some day (soon I hope).

Can you believe the grille prices for those Cudas? They may as well be made of gold. I know a company is going to be offering reproduction Charger grilles soon, so hopefully Cuda grilles will be next in line. Though I am sure even those will not be cheap.

I'll put my car on the line against any of them... and it's prolly cheaper as well. LOL

I used to have, back in the day, a 67 Cuda fastback, with a 340 six pack, it'd pull the wheels. I don't think I have any pics around of it, I'll have to dig, REAL DEEP! It's doubtful, but I'll look aorund sometime. I traded an old Crate amp for it, remember those old Crates from 20+ yrs ago, they had one wooden cab that held a 12" speaker? I had 2 of those and the head to go with it, that's what I traded for my Cuda, my first car was a 72 Duster with a 318, slant 6, ran forever, well till I blew it up anyway. I traded a guy $20 and a Busch beer mirror, LOL... Where are those dumbasses now? Man, that was like 22 yrs ago I guess, wow!

Re: Anyone here like Muscle Cars...??

Those MOPAR guys are nuts in what they pay for stuff. Collectors have driven the prices up so high, a normal guy can't do it.

I'm scared to even own a classic car, i like driving them, and would hate to get it hit or whatever. Hence my building up the 89 Mustang. Cheap to build to a scary fast state, and if I wreck it, I'll driving another in a couple weeks.

Re: Anyone here like Muscle Cars...??

WOW.. I didn't realize how many of you were into Muscle Cars, and how many Mopar Guys we have here!!

Cleveland... It's true that on the surface the price are through the roof, but Since I have gotten involved in Mopar I've met a lot of cool guys through the internet who have sold me parts at next to nothing. The "true" mopar guys are devoted to keeping things at a sane level.

True story: When I got the car, the one major part I needed was a k-member. Dealers have snatche about every available b-body k-frame up because they make an aftermarket hemi conversion kit now that fits on them. I could barely find one, and when I did they wanted $500 for it. I posted my plight to a mopar board, and within a week I had a perfect replacement K-frame for $75. The seller knew what he had, and his wife even had a baby on the way.

Jim... that is a beautiful Charger. Paint it BLACK!! Charger is my other dream ride.

                  Check out this photo: http://www31.addr.com/~richarda/site...r/charger2.jpg

This charger was on Ebay a year ago. I couldn't come up with the cash at the time, but to this day I consider it the baddest ride I have ever seen.

                      Cleveland,

BTW, I have classic insurance that insures the car for the full value as an antique collectible. When you apply for the insurance, you tell them what the car is worth. If you are way out of line, they will contest it but normally that is what it is insured for. God forbid my Bee was destroyed, I would not be out a single penny. The insurance only costs $300 a year with no mileage limitation. Only requirements are that you have been driving for over 10 years & have a daily driver registered in your name.

I was scared when I first got the car of being hit, but the amount of enjoyment I get out of it is immense. I don't want to let fear dictate simple pleasures. I still take some precautions, but overall I drive it wherever and whenever I want. I am more afraid of parking it. There are plenty of bitter people out there who would love to key it so I like to keep it within my view when I go somewhere with it.

Muscle cars are a true love of mine. Here's my website showing a few I've been working on, nothing super special or extremely high dollar but neat 'ol rides! I mostly do factory restos but I like to play! I'm saving the 70 1/2 Z for myself! (if I ever get caught up enough to work on it)BTW, I'm a GM man all the way!!!! Its okay, we all weren't blessed with good taste .

Seriously, Its hard to beat the look of a '67 GTO.

As for the paint, black is really nice. I am not sure if the body panels are nice enough for gloss black. But with enough money they can be taken care of. I must admit the black primer is spoiling me as its easy to touch up, still looks great and it resembles the Blade car.
