A FOOT OF FREAKING RAIN? Are our Texas bros okay?

I just read that Northern Texas got like a foot of rain yesterday. Is that true? I mean, a foot of SNOW I can imagine (in fact, I've experienced it many times)-- but a foot of RAIN?

Are all you guys okay down there? Sully?

yep! all good! we did get rained on pretty hard, but i think it's worse near the fort worth area. perhaps i'll canoe on down to see how kevin's doin.

there was a lot of flooding around here. My pool is nice and full now [img]/images/graemlins/smile.gif[/img] Supposed to get more rain too...at least it sure looks like it outside.

so far just 7 inches here in central texas. Some flooding on the roadways. I may have to swim home from work.

My truck got the garage but the Sarge's ancient Honda got the free carwash. [img]/images/graemlins/laugh.gif[/img]
Flooded like mad over here- its still damp but the water has been sucked up. Who knew cacti sucked up so much water?

Now I have a ton of antihills all over my desert "lawn". The rain brings out all the critters. (we have tarantulas too).
I think today I will head out to a nursery and see about putting in some cactus. [img]/images/graemlins/laugh.gif[/img]

We got a sh1tload of rain here in NJ on and off for the past week, too, flooding in some areas, luckily not by me, though.
