not to mention, polls should be done in the 'polls' section. Well, there used to be a 'polls' section.
Maybe it changed. This is a BS poll anyways, the options are my way and my way unless you rather. There is a lot of members here who have put flame maple caps on their guitars.

I'd say calling those who like flametops fairies might indicate some ambiguous feelings about your own sexuality, Six String. I personally think a black bullseye paintjob on a Les Paul looks like crap, but that doesn't mean I think Zakk or his fans are gay for liking it.

I don't really care for flametops, but I'd kill for the Paul that Gilby Clake played in the Japan 92 GNR DVD's or a white custom.

I think it depends on what model we are talking about.
Gibson does use AA maple top that look cheap and they still charge a lot. [img]/images/graemlins/bs.gif[/img]
I was dissapointed with Gary Moore signature model that came with AA and even older Joe Perry model had poor looking Maple too. [img]/images/graemlins/bs.gif[/img]
On the other hand, there are some nice looking tops too but damn expensive. [img]/images/graemlins/bs.gif[/img]

I personally love solid color Les Pauls better than most of quilted top ones AND I prefer Jackson better than any Gibson. [img]/images/graemlins/laugh.gif[/img] [img]/images/graemlins/tongue.gif[/img]

You live in Chicago? That's a shame. That's a pretty narrow-minded view for someone who lives in this great city. You sure you're not in the burbs or something??? While I am not a huge fan of the Les Paul in general, I don't go flaming anyone who has one.
