    My buds in Megadeth tribute band Hangar 18 continue to get dissed! [img]/images/graemlins/laugh.gif[/img]

    They played for Marines at Miramar recently; check how the band name is spelled:

          Actually, yes Ron, I have it on DVD.

          I'm just trying to ascertain exactly where you are going with the Marine/Marquee thing over "hanger/hangar" [img]/images/graemlins/scratchhead.gif[/img]

            I think he's trying to say they mispelled their name on the Marine Marquee....but what do I know I'm high

            Spinal Tap played the Airforce base when Nigel's wireless was picking up radio signals...then he threw down his paul and left the band ....it was classic.

              :sigh: The band is Hangar 18. A running real-life gag is that some venues spell it wrong (Hanger 18) on the marquee.

                          I believe this is a simple misunderstanding. The folks doing the marquee could have easily assumed that there were 18 guys in the band that worked hanging drywall or perhaps the singer's favorite clothes hanger was given to him on his 18th birthday. Did ya ever think of that?
