Watching "Cops". Who's dumber?

Here they are in the Deep South; Texas; New Mexico or Arizona. All the perps are running around half-naked and the cops are dressed in dark blue or black uniforms and they are wearing vests and undershirts, to boot. The last time I checked, dark colors absorb heat and light colors reflect heat. To me they should be wearing trops. Stupid "Cops", [img]/images/graemlins/laugh.gif[/img]

We have to wear whatever the Dept. issues us .....even if it is a pink Tu-Tu and and a Tube top......

Yes I agree as many other cops do that the uniforms is very unpractical and cumbersome and a safety hazard....but all they care about is our "presence" and if we're wearing are most awesome hat....that falls off every five seconds .

I hate when they have to wear the hats with the strap under their lip instead of on their chin. That just looks ridiculous.

I don't think anyone's come out with a white Kevlar vest yet! In Santa Monica the bicycle cops wear white polo shirts though, if that makes ya feel better!

I'd still rather be sweating than dying of a sucking chest wound, if I were a cop. Still, Khakis would make more sense in the summer and in the Southwest. Usually county sheriffs wear khakis though, so the city cops want to be differentiated from them in look.

yeah, i live near austin, and i saw a bicycle whereing all black downtown in the middle of the day. at this time of year austin is as hot as the fukkin sun! i really dont get it. these people are fighting crime and they have to be uncomfortable all day. i mean, what more can u ask out of them?
