• Can we have the old quote: back, please?

I miss the quote form we had on the old board when hitting quote on a post, like this:

When you quote someone, their name is included in the subject heading. When I quote someone, I typically put the "Originally posted by ______________" in myself.

I'd rather have an admin do it once (5 minutes) than all of us doing it every time we quote someone (5 years?). Anyway, you couldn't teach every user to do that manually.

So, let's just hope mom will fix it without making us clean up our room in return

There's isn't, but mom might make it automatic.

It may not be a 5-minute thing for the Admins. The developer of this forum software may not have the Quote Block or Quote By tag enabled.

I tried quoting you by adding the old code of "[qb]posted by jackson1[/qb]" and as you can see, it doesn't read the code.

Bob, I think you do, but most people just don't stick the comfort of this board that you can answer to a desired post and not globally. We have the same forum on some native site and I found it amusing how people get along with this feature.

You quote the message, and then in the upper line it says whom you're replying.

Okay, let the majority decide! That's just me.

Look at the above two-level quote. Nowhere does it say who wrote the line "Indeed... you don't know who said it

But next to the title of the post, it tells you to whom you're responding to. However, it doesn't cover an instance where you're responding to more than one question or comment.

Not now, but it's easy to figure it out from my post.

I pretty much orient myself via the "Re:" line, but I think that only minority of JCFers actually reply to the message they're applying for.

On TEKKY's last post, I see no text at all. This is the case on about half the quotes I see, and all the ones I quote myself. I think
