Wonder how hot it would be if it wasn't partly cloudy. Maybe some nice terrorist will detonate a suitcase nuke nearby - could use a cooler breeze.

Hot. Was. Fargin. Is. It.

Yeah, my parents are visiting my sister's family out in Phoenix right now. They're there for 3 weeks and all I hear about when I call them is how hot it is. Oh well, better them than me.

Of course I still feel bad for you.

Sh!t Dear God! What's the heat index, 130? Just hang onto the thought that the humidity is very rare there! Stay inside but don't crank the AC TOO hard; that's when they freeze
up and fail! I've had that happen here, at only 96 degrees but also 98% humidity. Heat index was 115, a bit less than you're enduring
but still enough to hate life!

I'm praying for a stiff breeze and a rainstorm
to get that moisture out of the air and onto the ground for ya!

Woo-Hoo!
The monsoon clounds have rolled in - it's already down to 93F.

Not that rare. Late summer / early fall is the monsoon season & a bit of humidity is the norm. On the bright side the temps usually go down a bit.

Here in Oklahoma City we are about to have our first year in decades of NOT hitting 100...strange year, but I'm loving it.

Strange here too. It's been abnormally cool all summer long. Let's see... average days here were about 22 degrees Celcius which converts to 71.6 degrees Fahrenheit, and average nights here were about 13C = 55.4F. I predict it will heat up by the end of August (I can already feel it brewing up over the past couple of days) and then we won't have the usual Canadian snow until mid-January. It's just been mostly dark and rainy a LOT here. Almost no BBQ or swimming pool days.

[/ QUOTE ]Well, here in Mississippi 60% IS considered low humidity!it is usually above 75% and is commonly 80%-90% much of the time in the summer. In autumn and winter it's not as humid, but the highest humidity and highest temps are both in summer.

Isn't it great NOR ....I think I'm losin' it I decided to go out and Bque some brats last night! However I did wait until about 7:30 when the sun got low and it had cooled down to only 110 or so
Seriously it may be hot as Hell for a few months but the rest of the year is great.I'd rather be watchin' those babes in hardly any clothes in the heat than shovelin' snow in the winter .....as they say.....been there done that

ps.....I have built a shrine to my AC unit and worship there daily!....INSIDE

I just thought about an obvious advantage to my situation. It's only starting to heat up here now, which may mean a very warm autumn and delayed winter, which means when I go back to university in three weeks, the ladies will still be dressed scantily until November. Dude there is NO way in hell I could ever survive that crap...I went out last week with the kid for a vette ride ...it was in the 80s ...and I got heat stroke ...NOT KIDDING.

I'm not used to it . I'm a homebody mostly (I love my home) and have my central air on 24/7 at 69 - 71 degrees...my electric bill for last month was $250 ...money well spent in my book!

I feel for you dude ....remember that major black out last year ...I was sooooo outta sorts when I couldn't run my air or play metal....my life came to a halt on that horrific day!
