• Need some help with Bike/auto Paint

Any painters out there that can give me some help in process? I've never painted anything before, but I'd like to give it a shot. I can't find much on the web as far as help with the process, stripping the old, prepairing the metal, finishing etc. Types of paint, sand paper ( sizes/grain, etc, etc.

Anyone wanna give me a hand here?

There's TONS of books out there. I've done it a little, I would do something you don't mind screwing up the first time though.

Any of the books by HP publishing(I think that's the name) are good.

Pat, there's a guy called Jeremy (handle is LGM Guitars) over at the projectguitars.com site. He's a paint guy and mostly do parts for bikes (i think), parts for cars and boats... stuff like that. Guitars too of course. He is awesome and has written a lot of good guides. Check him out and take a look at this pinned guide he wrote --->

Thanx bro! I will certainly do that!

I also find some killer books yesterday, after DRS threw me out to Border's,

But I also found some very killer paint, it's a ghost chrome, but you can kandie over it, I think I can handle something like that, check it out... The SH!T

I'm also diging the xposures and the bottom left of page 1, of the Crystal FX as well, man this is some cool sh!t, but expensive as hell!

Anyone got any ideas for a scheme for me? Any ideas are certainly welcome!
