• Another left-field Warrior curiousity.....

Hey guys...just tossing this out there. And I'll start with the reason I'm curious about this.
I want to put a "Memory lane" collage together for my girlfriend (and mother of my little Warrior ) Kerry. She was a former pro figure skater in the mid to late 80's. She was about 2 months away from starting to train for the Olympics when a severe knee injury ended her (figure skating) career.
Now I was just curious if anyone here is (or was) a fan of women's figure skating in the 80's, and would remember her.
She doesn't know of any resources on the web archived or otherwise of her career, but as much of a shot in the dark as it is, maybe someone would remember her, or even better...have a pic or video of her archived somewhere.
I didn't ask her for any of her own pics (which she has plenty of) because of the surprise factor of it.
Again.....just curious. I've posted the same message on several figure skating boards, and still waiting for responses.

Oh yeah...her name (during her skating career) was Kerry Krauss.

ken, my girlie may know of her; she is a pro figure skater and toured in the ice capades in the mid 90s.

was she a pairs skater or an ice dancer? also need to know where she trained. (just got off the phone with her; name doesn't sound familiar, but she'll ask around.) you may want to get in touch with the united states figure skating association (USFSA), they may be of some help...?

Sully,
Thanks dood! She was an ice dancer, but did pairs occasionally. Most notably...she paired with Kurt Browning once also. She trained first in NYC as well as Upstate NY, and then in Colorado.
I'll also try the USFSA...it's been so long. The last show she skated was in 1990

One other noteable...after she had recovered from her knee injury, she went on to become the NJ Devils speed skating trainer from '92 to '94

kurt browning sounds familiar, sarah's also an ice dancer, and she knows plenty of folks in that industry. perhaps we can find somethin... but not being in the same geographical area may not be much help. i'll talk to her more about it this afternoon.

i did a search on the usfsa.org site for her, and got no results. but i'm sure that there's video out there somewhere.

A Google search for the name turned up nothing for me. Typically, punching someone's name in to Google turns up some unusual and cool stuff, but it was a no-go this time.

Thanks NOTP....I've tried EVERY search engine imaginable.
There are plenty of Kerry Krauss's out there...but not my girl.
