Re: Poll: How are you voting this year?

Bill for president!

Actually, I'm voting for Kerry. Bush has lost his mind with his whole anti-gay marriage stance, his stance in not wanting to allow abortions or stem cell research, his pushing religion down the public's throat, etc. Also, why is he wasting money on fukkin' space exploration to see what's on Mars?!? Why not put that money towards feeding the poor/homeless/underprivileged? I don't think he's been that bad of a president, but he's done his time, now let's move on and see what somebody else can do who thinks a little more clearly and knows how to mind his business and help people out instead of trying to cram all his views of what's right down our throats.
I feel my soul go cold... only the dead are smiling.

No arguement deneb ...you have some good points as well ...nice thing about this counrty is that we have "choice" ...

Yes even though the republicans seem to be overlooking the economy ...I'm just hoping they pick up the ball once this mess is over ...

Well we say that the iraqi government are calling the shots ...I don't have much faith in that statement ..

but we do need to get the hell out of there ...the sooner the better..

I think our presence there is required (at this time) but at the same time it's fueling the fires of hatred..

I just don't want these idiots to bring it on our turf ...better there than here ...

I hope something improves fast...belive me my benefits and healthcare took a major dump as most peoples this year...but I bite the bullet and assumed that it is because of the ridiculous cost of the war that is straining our once cool economy...

I think it just timing more than anything else ....like I said this crappola was tossed into W's lap ...it easily could have been tossed into gore's lap ...oh boy..I wonder how that would have went ..

but the Prez can only act upon the credible information the he is given ...and then make a decision of action ..

Obviously the info he recieved warranted this action ....you or me or anyone could have made the same decision with this information ...

was some of the informatuion inaccurate ...seems like it was ..hows that Bush's fault ...it was the same info given to Clinton , Kennedy , Hillary , Gore about the WMD's...

this seems to be all on the same page ...even if it was in error..

I just don't like those friggin' people ...they really they rub against my intelligence and grain..

and what's with that stupid dance they do holding their guns ...when they jump up and down ...they look as intimidating as west side story...

Seriously just look at them ...they're F'd up in a very retarded way ...what about the ladies gobblin' like Fetts dead turkey...

between their gobbling and jumping and up and down ...that's reason for their demise right there...

This war wouldn't have went this way 30 - 40 years ago ..

we would have just kicked major ass and take names and nobody would have known the wiser..This would have been long over.

but with big brother watchin' our every move our hands are tied so that we don't appear to the world we don't look like savages and make more enemies ...this is a very PC war ...Sadr is a great example hiding behind the skirt of Allah's shrine....

just like that prisoner abuse crap ..that would have never even been an issue 20 years ago ..

we the people know to damn much for our own good..IMO

I don't know 'bout the rest of you guys ...but we are at war ..

whether the war is justified or not ...

it's still a war ...a war I would like us to win..the consequences would be horrible.

and you can never win a war with a wishy washy , flip flopping and liberal attitude..

can't win wars with kindness for terrorist that want us dead .

I guess Russia just found this out ...they didn't back us with the war...so what happend...two of their planes were highjacked ...and innocent people were killed ...so there you go.

I guess they're in the game now...huh?

Now with all the added security , precautions and involvemnt in the war now ...their economy will also be sacrificed...for the moment.

A bad economy is better than no economy at all..

It's all about priorities man ...why can't some people see that..

[/ QUOTE ]

I agree with this wholeheartedly.
I'm not jumping in this discussion much though because it gives me a headache.
But I will take an official stand and declare that Kerry is a DORK.
If that dingbat becomes Prez (shudders) then the Sarge is getting out of the military.
It'd be like having PeeWee Herman for a Commander-in-Chief.
Bill, I'd vote for you - even if your PP is the axis upon which the world spins.

BTW this is nothing new, many politicians take this viewpoint as do many americans. That's what you get when Christianity is the dominant force behind everything.
There is always going to be something with every politician that is annoying as hell. Too many things in this world are fukked up and one President isn't going to be able to fix everything- there are the Congressional bozos to take into consideration as well. The Prez doesn't actually have that much power.
Anyway- as for all this being shoved down our throats... well, one could always move I suppose.
Personally I think that things like reality TV and poptart music stars are more of a problem than religion being shoved down anyone's throats.
Last time I checked it was still okay for me to wear my pentagram t-shirts... Just teasin'.
And I would rather live in a safe country influenced by Christianity than one being infiltrated with terrorists.
I mean no offense to anyone, just a differing viewpoint is all.

Cheers

Re: Poll: How are you voting this year?

It's more of a rebellious act than fighting for their "rights"..

Most gays are liberal ....all liberals moan , b!tch and complain ..that's what they do ...they remind me of those dicks that sat next to me in school...

told the teacher that I was cheatin' on the test ...

I beat them up after school ...but they still told afterwards ...so I beat them up some more....I bet ya they're all democrats ...I bet Jimmy's ball on it.

I haven't met one Democrat that appeared to have "balls" to me ...none of them ever do....very weasily , nerdy college dweebs with all the degrees without a lick of common sense.

they all look , act and talk like a bunch of limp dicks with pipe dreams of an unrealistic world..

Not me ...I know we live on a spinning ball of crap with living , breathing and walking turds.. ....but it's nice to stay ahead of the game ...stay on top ...and make the best of it.

America just keep all the lesser turds at our mercy without making it look too obvious....that's cool!

War is part of human design ...and that's a big ol' period...glad I'm on the winning side

Let's keep it that way...

Re: Poll: How are you voting this year?

Deneb, the 9/11 commission determined that Saddam wasn't linked to 9/11. They did in fact say that there was some kind of link between Osama and Saddam's Iraq, just not the 9/11 attacks themselves.

Kerry's record is of taking all sides of any issue, and riding the fence as much as possible. Now I believe in a centrist, moderate stance myself, but Kerry's shifting positions indicate that convenience is his true position. His questionable war record that he repudiated and now wears as a cloak of honor are one example. His abscence from so many important Senate sessions is another.

Bush is no great President, but he's done better than I'd have thought under these conditions. Frankly, this war was necessary
for the reasons of threat that all good sources gave beforehand, and yes, the security of the world's oil supply was a big issue.
Though some of our European friends felt they had sweetheart deals with Saddam, he could have cut the flow at any time and blackmailed them for any prices he wanted. That's not going to happen now.

Also, the fact the terrorists have chosen to engage us in Iraq has diverted their efforts to hit us here. I'm sure they'll hit us again
soon, but from October 2002 until today their
efforts have been geared towards attacking our forces in Iraq once they got in there. The Arab people of the world should note that Al Qaeda has no problem killing Muslims just to make the US look bad. Well, the definition of a "good" Muslim will get more and more narrow,
the more countries fall under fundamentalist Muslim regimes. The war on terror HAS to be conducted with vigor and resolve. The man to do that is Bush, not Kerry. If he got the satisfaction of deposing the dog who tried to kill his father, well I have no problem with that. I say Iran next, then Syria, but use some of those daisy-cutters on key facilities and minimize use of ground troops.

Remember McHale's Navy? You youngsters probably don't, but the older guys might. A vote for Kerry is like a vote for McHale, in my book.
Ron is the MAN!!!!

No, I'm 46 years old and disabled from stroke, heart disease, diabetes and high blood pressure. That's why I say use the fuel-air bombs. The power of battlefield nukes but njo radiation afterward. Bomb their nuclear facilities and just send troops to the sites to make sure we got everything.

I think once Bush is re-elected, he will let the troops get dirtier. He won't have to worry about another election and will have maximum motivation to kick maximum ass in his last 4 years.

I hate to see civilian casualties, but would rather see our troops conduct operations with their own safety as first priority. The sooner and harder we hit terrorist-backing countries, the better. Iran and Syria support terrorists and their governments need to cut the crap or be deposed. Iran in particular has a large Western-looking population in their 20s and 30s; depose the ayatollahs and it could be a pro-Western democracy.

Not trying to be argumentative, but do you really believe that we should do a preemptive strike on anyone who might someday, under some circumstances, attack us? If so, then why don't we invade Germany? I mean, we've already had to fight them twice in the last several decades. What about Japan? We fought them, too. Italy?

I hate to break this to you, but there will never be a Western-styled "democracy" in the Middle East. The culture there is far different than our own. Trying to enforce "democracy" on anyone only makes them hate us.

I say we should get out and stay out.
