    What was you best gear purchase this year?

    What was your best gear purchase in the past year? And why do you consider it your best? Any gear. Not just Jacksons and Charvels. I'll start...

    So far, my best one is a lowly little Roland MicroCube amp. ...Seriously! [img]/images/graemlins/laugh.gif[/img] This little pepe' rocks and, having been "de-banded" a couple of months ago, it's got me back in a groove for more playing (at home). Convenient, small bedroom size, GREAT tone and versatility, and cheap. And thanks to the JCFr's who recommended this one to me a while ago over in the amp section! [img]/images/graemlins/headbang.gif[/img]

    Runner up is my KE2T. I've never owned a Kelly before. I'll always be a diehard Floyd'd superstrat kind of guy, but I like variety, too. This one gives me a two-fer': I'm digging a cool new body style AND it has started a new (...renewed?) appreciation for having one or two non-Floyd guitars in the stable.

    Cool thread.. I have been through alot this year but I have to say:
    For amps:
    My Roland Cube 30
    I use it every day. It sounds great and is an invaluable practice and jamming amp.

    For guitars:
    Getting back my 7-up Charvel 275DLX on Ebay after having it bounce from owner to owner all over the country.

          The last thing I bought was a USA Jackson RR-1 ..lightning sky..

          the second last thing I bought was a Uberschall..

            did't buy that much this year: Line6 POD 2 and a charvel 750 xl (maybe I did buy some stuff after all [img]/images/graemlins/laugh.gif[/img]). the charvel has a lot of work on it, so I think it is a close call. the POD does a great job, without a doubt, so I call it a draw

                My Vetta is by far the best piece of equipment I bought this year. Runner up would have to be my Martin DX1R.

                  Wow, so many. I guess my major score was my Randall RGT100 head. I took a chance on buying it real cheap on Ebay having never heard one. After a thorough refurbishing, it has become my primary amp. I am using my Weddington Classic with a Dimebucker, and it is BRUTAL!!!! [img]/images/graemlins/headbang.gif[/img]

                  My other major purchase is my Lado Laser. I'm not sure if it counts though, because I haven't paid for it yet, or picked it up.

                  Also of note is the $29 drum kit I picked up at a yard sale. It turned out that the snare drum is an early 60s Rogers Dynasonic 7 line, that sell on Ebay from between $300 and $500. [img]/images/graemlins/grin.gif[/img]

                      At first I thought it was my Dean Pinkburst V -- a Time Capsule series prototype and NAMM show one-of-a-kind guitar.

                      But then I remembered about the 1981 Charvel Prepro Strathead Star I found in my local mall for $599.

                      But now I wonder if it'll be newest purchase...which should be coming in the next couple of weeks...hmmmm....

                      I'm so confused.

                            A Korg Pandora. I bought it to take on vacation so I didn't need a amp. I will be able to play in the car while the kids are practicing soccer in the rain this fall.

                              That's easy, my RR5, besides it's the only thing I've purchased this year. Oops, forgot about my Zoom 606, but I'm not that impressed with that yet.
