I picked up a Zoom PS-04 Palmtop Studio after listening to the track Pete made with the PS-02. Cool little gadget, but it has a pretty steep learning curve. Hopefully, things will slow down enough at work for me to spend more time with it & take full advantage of all the features. So far, I've been very impressed with it.

My Paul Reed Smith Santana SE and 10-52 gauge strings. Finally I have found a guitar that suits me and I dig the sound and feel that the heavier strings get. But perhaps the best is yet to come...

I got 4 USA Washburns and a few other guitars this year. But I think my best gear purchases of the year were a house to store my gear, a hottub to soak in after I play my gear, an Audi A6 Quattro to drive my gear around, and a theatre built in my house to watch Spinal Tap with my gear............Oh yeah, and that kick ass Judas Priest Electric Eye DVD that some of my gear likes to watch.......

I bought a SG Supreme in fireburst. the neck fits my hand like no other. also did the bias mod to my 5150 and retubed it. 2004 has been tone heaven. Scott

For me, it's a two-way tie: a Jackson Strat 24 with a red lightning-sky graphic and a black Fender HM Strat. Interestinly, both guitars have 24 frets. Before these two, I'd only owned two other guitars with 24 frets, one a PRS and the other an Ibanez Universe.

Both guitars are really fun to play but I bought them for somewhat different reasons. I fell in love with the Jackson's finish while the HM Strat came to be because I'd always wanted one and I'd regretted not buying when they first came out.

a Mesa DC-5 combo and a Mesa 3/4 back extension cab. Beastly 50 watt amp

THD Yellow Jackets - really tamed the 2203 by replacing 6550's with EL-84's. I have a Soldano Hot Mod on the way that I'm gonna try, supposed to give it way more gain.

I'm on an amp thing right now so I'll probably have something else, a VHT, Soldano or the likes

The only musical gear I bought since January 2004 were the Shannon Soloist, 9-46 gauge D'Addarios for it, and Dunlop Stiffo Jazz III picks to play the guitar with. My Splawn Pro-Mod 50 head.

and if the trade works out.....Engl Powerball head.

Those are just the best of too many.....I need to stop buying gear for a while.

Man this is a tough one. I've bought more gear in the past year than in the past 10 years combined!

I would have to say that my best purchase was my 87 student archtop that I got from Toru. I own a lot of guitars, but I play that one every day. I guess my PODxt was a great get as well. Cool thread.

My Mesa F30. Kickin little amp!! Peterson Virtual Strobe tuner, very cool tool to have. I have been waiting for MF to get those Ovation double necks in, still waiting..... but that will make the list for sure.
