We haven't hit hallowween! I don't want to even think about X-MA$$$$. I'm still paying off last year. You get a fake tree or grow your own?

I get a fake one...thats prelit....I wanna put it up this weekend, but Mr LPC says no....it just makes it easier to put it up now and not turn it on...that way when I buy something new for it, I just bring it home and hang it.....if I could have my way, I would leave it up all year....what can I say??? Christmas gives me a woody....

Oh and Phoebes jammies are with the Christmas tree.....I cant wait to see her in them...purple with white sheep (but sheep lie...dont tell anybody)

The first week in December?!?!?! No way!!!! I go all out for Christmas....my tree has "unique" stuff on it....not your regular run to wal mart and buy Christmas ornaments...Ive got my youngest daughters first glasses, a telletubby that my oldest got when she was like 2 out of a Micky D's happy meal, a potpourri bag that has my oldests imbilical cord in it...really unique things....right now Im looking for s'mores to put on my tree....

Now if my prelit garland would hurry up and ship.....then my front porch is basically ready.....gotta drag out the snowman and reindeer too [img]/images/graemlins/grin.gif[/img] [img]/images/graemlins/grin.gif[/img] [img]/images/graemlins/grin.gif[/img]

I bought a Costco prelit tree last year. Best investment I made. Pissed the wife off, but I got tired of spending $100.00 every year for a tree and just having to take it to the dump 3 weeks later. Plus, fakes not not such a fire hazzard.

Ive found a s'mores tree too...Im thinking seriously about getting that too, just to put on the table beside the front door....

Does the prelit tree have ALOT of lights??? Im thinking that what they come with just isnt enough, and Im trying to find a set of musical lights....those are a bitch to find....

I dont have any Christmas lights up right now...I did have a small set of 35 minis on top of the entertainment center, mixed in with some ivy, but they died on me, and I think they are still up there....

Im a firm believer that its bad luck if you dont put up your Christmas tree the day after Thanksgiving and if you take them down before New Years Day.....

My tree is usually up around the first week of November and it stays until about the second week of January....I dont take any chances with bad luck.... [img]/images/graemlins/laugh.gif[/img]

And its because I'm a Halloween girl. I freakin' LOVE Halloween! I wish it was Halloween every damn day.
I don't like Christmas. That has to be it. Don't like trees either (though I can appreciate a well decked one in someone ELSE'S house).
We put our fake one up a couple days before Christmas and it comes down the day after or the night of (if I get my way). And its usually decorated with black lights and blue lights and spiders. Oh, and bells. I dunno, don't ask.
But I love Christmas lights! How come that doesn't count?

It's a blessing when the kids just want money! Easiest gift ever. Actually, I don't ask anybody for anything anymore, and haven't done so for a few years now. I know it's the thought that counts, but really, I am much more satisfied purchasing things on my own that I know I will love. So, Christmas for us is just a nice day to spend with the family and eat awful dry turkey and ham. [img]/images/graemlins/laugh.gif[/img] God, I hate Christmas food. Give me a ROAST CHICKEN and ROAST PORK anyday instead of turkey and ham. Blech!!!! [img]/images/graemlins/laugh.gif[/img]
