SHAWN HILL "PUMP - AEROSMITH TRIBUTE DRUMMER" BENEFIT CONCERT
Shawn Hill, the drummer for Pump "Aerosmith Tribute Band" is in the Kaiser hospital on Sunset Blvd in Los Angeles, Ca. fighting for his life. He is in need of a Heart and Lung Transplant. Shawn has a tear in the artery that runs from his heart to his lungs. He was born with transposition of the great arteries, "the artery that pumps the large portion of the heart is attached to the small portion and the small artery to the large portion" He also developed Pulmonary Hypertension a couple years ago, "A side effect to his heart condition." They are giving him medicine to speed the healing process and plasma to try and clog the artery where the tear is. We are all praying that the tear will grow back. Shawn will be in the hospital on a constant I.V. and will not be able to work or play the drums. No activity. The waiting list for a Heart and Lung Transplant is 6 months to 2 years.
A tribute band Benefit Concert is scheduled for Sunday Sept 19th to try and raise money to help Shawn's family. There will be 21 Tribute bands beginning at 12 Noon.
