Holy sh!t !! perahps a scientific explanation?

okay. me and two other friends were out just doing some recon with our airsoft guns tonight. we were at one of the kids houses, his house is right on a forest preserve. then right next to the forest preserve is an arboretum. we were walking through the arboretum tonight about to play airsoft. then all the sudden we these lights, apparently some sort of flashlights, flashing out of this treeline on the other side of this field, mustve been a half mile away. the lights keep getting closer, then they just shut off. So i tell the other guys to pull back, so we move left- cuz i was afraid whatever it was turned the lights off and was moving through the dense fog. once we get to a spot on a treeline to the left of where we were, we see the lights again, and theres no way in hell it couldve been the same "things" because they woulda had to move a mile in 2 minutes, and we wouldve heard them. so they keep moving towards us from the left now, so we hide in this giant bush....then all the sudden the lights are coming from the back of us, from the forest preserve. we were pinned down with these lights for a good half hour. they just kept moving back and forth, back and forth, through the forest . not one bit of noise at all. so then we pass through the fence to get out of the arboretum into the forest preserve area...then the lights come back. this time from the spot we just were at. it shot across the mile long field in a matter of a second. then stopped.. theres no way in hell any person coudlve done that. not once did we hear police radios...but then we get out of the arboretum, walking back towards my friends house....we hear police radios....but no cops. no cops anywhere in the neighborhood. no cars, nothing. then we keep hearing the radios on and off. there was a fence that separate the forest preserve from the arboretum. the minute we went to the other side of the fence, the lights alternated sides, back to the position we just were at. one of the guys scouted ahead, to check things out. and he was about to say something, because he saw us move the wrong way...but it wasnt us. we never moved...the scariest thing was the lights just changing positions...moving towards us, turning off. then showing up a few seconds later in the complete opposite way. perhaps theres some scientific explanation for the lights in the fog? anyone? its been a wierd night..

i forgot to mention. when i first saw the lights...not only did i see them on the ground moving. i first saw them in the trees. because im just like, oh, that looks like a phone tower or something. you know those giant ones with the flashing lights? but there are no towers in the arboretum

There have been people throughout history who have claimed that they have seen "ghost lights" similar to this.

Usually they are associated with battlefields or where a large/tragic accident occured.

I'm not saying that is what it is at all, but who knows [img]/images/graemlins/scratchhead.gif[/img]

There are a lot of things that happen on this plane that rational science can't explain or is foreign to our reality.

Go to your local library or find one of the older people in town and ask them questions about that area...see if something happened there, or there was ever a strange occurance [img]/images/graemlins/scratchhead.gif[/img] </font>

Check your body for weird new markings. Maybe a needle imprint or a strange looking symbol? Like a big "L" on your forehead.

my guess is you watch too much TV or you got out reconned in your airsoft war [img]/images/graemlins/smile.gif[/img] Seriously...could it have been 2-3 different lights? perhaps other GI Joe wannabe's with the same type of lights using radios to communicate? Also since you mention thre forrest maybe someone has a pot farm planted out there and they were protecting it? Sounds weird but I'm willing to bet that nothing parnormal went on. Last I heard aliens didnt use radio comunications [img]/images/graemlins/smile.gif[/img]

First off, we are all men of science here at the JCF, you came to the right place to seek advice on any potential alien activity, I mean we are so into that we even have a member here named mulder, so we know our $hit about aleins. I have to go with the anal probe theory previously mentioned. IF that isnt what happened, then its without a doubt what Shawn said, someone was out protecting their weed field trying to scare you away. It applies to weed,just like the baseball movie said "If you grow it, they will come"

People all over the world have strange experience with lights like that, they are called "acid trips". [img]/images/graemlins/tongue.gif[/img]

OK I am sorry, I had to do it. Seriuosly, that idea that some other airsoft troops were out and about and oute-reconned you sounds like the most likely event to me. But, you never know.
