Any Questions for EVH???

Anyone have any decent questions for Edward? I'll be leaving around noon CST, so get em up here. I've got 5 stars for tonight in Champaign, and figured there's only like 10 of us in the group, so I may have some time to fire some q's at Eddie. It should be quite cool to say the least.

I got an email last night from All Access and they say there's no alcohol on campus, but they've got a very special surprise for us and the group is tiny in comparison to other nights. I know St. Louis, there was like 50 or more in 5 star, but apparently, everyone is sitting in rows 1 and 2 and dead ass center, so I can't imagine any more than 10 or so of us. I'm stoked! Not going to take too many chances with the camera olike in St. Louis, but I'm going to try and sneak a pic or two of Ed's rig, you can't get too close to it tho and it was behind some cuirtains, with just a teaser showing. ( St. Louis that is )

I was thinking something along the lines of how many HG's, where they went, etc, or how many B/W stratheads were done up for him, etc... I don't know, you guys are the experts in that department.

Sorry for the multiple forum posting, but I didn't want to miss a chance of someone nmot seeing this in one of the others, perhpas Hoss or someone into the HG's...

Just a thought, I'll certainly do what I can with it.

That certainly is one I'd like to know as well! I'd like to go, but it looks like October's going to be busy for me. I've never been down there, so maybe this year's the time... I have a feeling they'll all be down, ya know? Middle of the tour, it just makes sense!

It's one at the top of my list.

Actually what I heard is only Sammy and Michael are coming down to Cabo but who knows.I need to hear from Eddie himself.
Silvertide, the band that opened up for the VH tour in U.S. will be in Cabo as well.
Also Cardboard Vampyre(Jerry Cantrell and Billy Duff).

And by the way, if you are coming down to Cabo, PM me.
You will get your free internet access while in Cabo and a case of beer.

While many of us might like to ask that question, we all know that actually asking it would get Pat thrown out of the arena. At least he's out there trying to rock again.I personally had no desire to see this tour, but then I saw them with Roth in their heyday, so.... [img]/images/graemlins/eyes.gif[/img] we don't want to set Ed off by mentioning his decline, as he may actually bring himself back to life if he tours more.He needs to do that if he's to survive IMO.

As for the Charvel questions, he totally avoided them and seemed a bit irritated after a few minutes. He did hint there would be something after the tour with Charvel.

As for the HG's, he didn't say how many, but that none were striped the same, [img]/images/graemlins/scratchhead.gif[/img] I wasn't going to disagree with him. Anyway, he did mention the first handful of guitars in the beginning were Mighty Might necks (sp?) Factory seconds from Grover/Wayne and he striped em. He was actually quite cordual and sat out and talked with everyone after soundcheck for a good 20 minutes, a treat indeed. I sat right in front row, dead center, for both the show and s-check, he moved over and talked to the folks on the right after asking him about the b/y not sure why, but... He was wanting to know who I was, lol. He looked good, a little better than 7-28/29 I think.

No Charvels in site, said he didn't have any with him. Played a Green Wolfie, "all night" Came out of tuine a couple times, but he tuned it on the fly very inconspicuously, nice...

Actually, great show, once again, left nothing uncovered! I took about 150 pics, again [img]/images/graemlins/laugh.gif[/img], some are quite cool, got a couple of Ed splitting off the drum riser, lil blurry, but still cool. I told myself I wasn't going to take any, or few anyway, but oh well.. No rig, didn't even see it, must have been covered up somewhere.

Eddie got me playing guitar ...I worshipped that dude ...probably why I'm pretty bitter about it.

OK ..I would ask him whatever gave him the idea of using a Variac to lower the voltage to his amp .."browing" it out so he could push his amp higher at more moderate volume levels...Alex termed it the "brown sound".

Besides Floyd Rose was he the very first to own one.

then you can tell I learned to slap the intro to meanstreets with my pud.

Oh..would he ever consider doing a solo album or stepping out with Satch and Via for a G3.

I was told that Sammy liked the venue with Michael and the Woboritas... So i would think not, but I wouldn't exclude or be surprised if EVh was there for a perhpas a sit in, just a thought... It certainly won't be a full VH gig.
