Being the reason the Bill started the Non Cookie Monster list, I believe that all metal is good, but there is some I won't listen too. I was listening to the new Lamb of God today and while the music was good the vocals just didn't fit to me.I believe that a singer should sing and not just see what kind of noises he can make over blistering guitar riffs. All a cookie monster singer is doing is alienating his band from a larger audience. Just my opinion.

That's right ..it's all subjective.

I'd rather listen to a cool death metal singer than a horribly weak power metal singer (too much to list btw) and visa versa..

There is metal that sound better with harsh vocals and there is some that doesn't.

I wouldn't want Dio to sing for Soilwork ...it just wouldn't be right.
