Not sure yet. I see a couple potential problems with stock TR covers. 1- they burn...The laser engraves with heat, so, the problem there is obvious. 2- getting deep enough to show the white layer (without discoloration) may be a problem.
I will have some stock covers to mess with soon....I'll let you know. It's doubtful though.....We'll see.
Please ignore this if it's stupid, but what if you froze the plastic parts before running them through the engraver. Would that help? It seems that with a very defined heat source such as a lazer the cold plastic just might reduce the surrounding burns. Just a shot, I know nothing about what you're doing.
