Custom melted trussrod cover?

Well...I got my laser engraver up and running (finally!) [img]/images/graemlins/confused.gif[/img]. Did a little trading with The Budman [vinyl decals -for- mirrored tr covers]. Grabbed Scotts logo....tossed it into Engravelab 3.2.....And Walllla (viola)



I was gonna paint the back of it black, but the way it melted in, it looks cool like it is. It refracts the light, and sometimes you get a prism effect. The pic doesnt do it justice....It looks blurry here. I'm gonna do some signature ones next (like the Paul Stanley PS-10 Iceman TR covers). I will probobly offer them to forum members when I get the process down pat.

The truss covers for the Chlorines are being done by Doug..
They will have a similar look to this tho likely not mirror..
But they will be cool, and numbered.

OK...I gotta say,...I'm impressed. I didn't think I would get this PM's &amp; emails. I think I've RE'd everyone who has contacted me. So...Here's the deal. Budman &amp; I are working together on this project. I still have some "bugs" to work out on my end before these are to the quality I'm shootin' for. Dave's got his part down pat. When I get there, and when I'm ready to offer these to JCF members, I'll let you guy's know.

The plan is for the average Joe JCF'er to be able to have a TR cover with his (or her) own signature engraved in it....Just like the big boys (&amp; girls). Logo's &amp; even photographs are a possibility....Purty Sheweet huh? Gold will most likely be available...material is costly though. I have some other really cool stuff in the works too. But again, I have to get this thing dialed in. I'm taking all of next week off work to do nothing but get this machine set. I'm even sacrificing opening week of Bow season here in Ohio. [img]/images/graemlins/eyes.gif[/img] Well....maybe.
