Ok guys, I'm sitting here stuck, I need to name my band... but I have no ideas. I'm not asking for names, I want to know how you some of you came up with a band name, maybe that'll get me motivated [img]/images/graemlins/laugh.gif[/img]

Band name is something very important.
If your band becomes very popular, you will have to stick with it.
So it has to be cool as hell.

I have couple of names would like to present you.

"HELL'S BALLS"
"PMB (stands for PIMP MY BALLS)"
"HAIRLESS HEADS"
"DEODORANT KILLERS"

I usually follow these steps:
1) look up synonyms for lewd things

2) look up foreign words for lewd things

3) go to the library and look for funny old words for lewd things in old books (these days that would become search Google for lewd things and get distracted for a little while)

4) see if taking a lewd thing and respelling it with umlauts ('ë' instead of 'e') or replacing common consanants ('kk' instead 'ck) or just spell phonetically

5) just make some stupid ass thing up

pick a word, any word. Add an unrelated number to it. Voila - Band Name! eg. Blink 182, Sum 41, Powerman 5000, Maroon 5, Level 42

Add "The" to your word - The Beatles, The Strokes, The Vines, The Who, The Supremes

Add a verb or adjective to your word - The White Stripes, The Black Keys, The Screaming Jets, Grateful Dead, Green Day, The Mighty Mighty Bosstones, The Rolling Stones

Mispell your word(s) - Korn, Limp Bizkit, Led Zeppelin, Def Leppard
