my older brother drug me to the champagne jam in 79 in atlanta...watched steven tyler get pissed that fans grabbed at his mic stand and walked off stage for a couple of songs...i was 10 years old at the time...d.m.
Hmm, Black Sabbath, Never Say Die Tour around 1977. With VanHalen Opening for them on their first large hall tour. It was at the now levelled Richfield Coliseum near Cleveland.
Sabbath was pretty drunk and had bartenders making drinks on each side of the stage, you could see the animosity between Ozzy and Tony. Vanhalen sounded like crap. Sad, it sure looked like they were kickin ass.
Van Halen on the Balance tour. I was 15 or 16 and smoked so much pot at the show that I barely remember any of it. People tell me I had a really good time though!
Ny first concert was a Deftones concert. The deftones suck, but Thrice was playing and since thrice is my favorite band, i had to see them. It was amazing.

LA Coliseum 1979
The Califfornia World Music Festival
(Yes, there were 2 Fs in there!)
An all day show with:
Van Halen
Aerosmith
UFO
Toto
Cheech & Chong
Boomtown Rats
April Wine
Mahogany Rush
Brownsville
I got to go in a limo and sit in the VIP section (the Van Halen family were family friends). My date (blonde gal 6 years older than I) smuggled some weed in her hat.
The next one would've been Ozzy & RATT around 1983.
