Re: I threw my back out and can\'t stop throwing up
The only problem I have with someone going to an MD for advice on chiropractic, is this: what does an MD know about the art of chiropractic? More than likely, less than nothing. Would you go to a podiatrist if you had a toothache? Would you go to a dentist if you had cancer? Would you go to an MD if your spine was misalligned, thus causing a nerve interference which in turn casuses pain? Would you go to a chiropractor for third degree burns?
There is a place for every scope of medical practice. Just because you are profficient in one area does not make you knowledgable in another. I've known some doctors who don't know anything beyond their speciality.
Just a quick question, since chiropractic is much cheaper, less invasive, and the incidence of malpractice is 24,400 LESS than that of medical doctors, wouldn't it make sense to see a chiropractor first? Why is allopathic care so expensive? Malpractice insurance for doctor's is astronomical, up to $100,000 a year and more. Chiropractic malpractice insurance is $1000-$3000 a year. Why? Insurance companies base their rates on incidents. Just something to think about.
Remeber, chiropractic cannot cure everything. But it can help a lot more than people think. Do some research and don't just listen to what you hear from your MD and follow blindly.
