I have to say this has been one the best series of games I've ever seen.

I'm glad the sox won, Screw the Yankees, and let's go on and win a world series

surgical work and pitching a day or two later at 40 something years old? i don't think so. more like the brace rubbed him raw in the side sessions which is why he didn't continue wearing it.

      [/ QUOTE ]

nope. he was bleeding from stitches. either way, he still lit the yankees up.

just like the rest of the team these past 4 games.

That axe would sure look purdy with a BIG RED CARDS Jersey draped over it....

I'll have to do a little PS'n tomorrow on it...

I can't even begin to explain how happy I am. I was on the edge of my couch the whole time against that Yankees lineup. Winning 4 straight against a team that stacked when we were down 0-3 means the most. Even if they don't win the series the Sox have won in my opinion. They beat the best team major league baseball has. Lowe impressed me the most. I knew the bats were there and capable of bring in runs. But Lowe had a horrible season a stepped up and pitched the game of his life.

Congrats to BoSox. You whipped our asses.

As for the Yanks, time to clean house. Gordon first, then Brown, Vasquez, Clark, Gordon again, and few other no loads.

As much as a die-hard Yankee fan I am, I'll have to become a fair-weather Red Sox fan for the Series.

Like I said on the first page, this is Boston's year.

How 'bout Schilling bleeding for the cause? The ultimate red sock, for sure.

Used to work in Mattydale, 50/50 yankee-redsox fans. But the Bills ruled up there.

How sweet it is to wake up and be winners this fine Boston morning. Sweetening my coffee with the tears of New York . The city is trashed, kind of looks like New York now

As much as I now look forward to continuing on to the World Series, I'm not sure it will taste as sweet as those tears do, right now. Anti-climatic may be closer to the truth. I guess I really won't until then since it's been 86 years!

Hopefully we won't fall into the malaise that NY fell into last year against the Marlins. Destiny? Why Not Us?

Congrats. I'm still going thru the morning after depression stage, but I have a lot of friends up in the Mass/Conn area who I got to rib this series, but like they took they're medicine last year from me,.....I'll have to take my medicine this year from them.

I always though regardless of who you play in the World Series, the Yankee/Boston series was our World Series.

This is gonna feel strange to say, but, we'll see you next year.

Sox need to keep on a roll though.

Biggest choke in history. So close, so many times. Sorely disappointed. I blame it on Arizona's stubborn, spiteful management! ...But them's the breaks. No sense dwelling on it.

The Red Sox were the better team. They deserved the title. Congrats to the Sox and their fans.

Now: Go Cards/Astros! Keep the curse alive!

But my full attention will henceforth be devoted to football. Go Steelers!

And - day-ummm! - despite the modelling goon, Big Red looks sweeeeet.

I think I have to eat some crow on all my comments about Francona. He came out of the coma Sunday and just made all the right calls from there out. When he put Foulke in to pitch those 2.2 innings Sunday I thought he threw the game away right there. Glad he knows a lot more about his team and baseball than I apparently do. lol

someone in NY is gonna have to answer...did they get out managed?

                              Another game 7 tonight...
