    ANTHRAX on Hip Hop Awards!

    I can't believe I watched an hour and a half of this show to see Anthrax. I saw an advertisement for the show on tv guide channel that said Anthrax would be performing with Public Enemy. The only people I saw were Scott and Charlie. Scott was playing what I think was his new Washburn guitar(couldn't see the headstock too well). At first I thought it was a JJ2. Very nice looking guitar. He should have stayed with Jackson if he was going to play a guitar like that but I guess Washburn had more money to spend than Jackson wanted to. Fender needs to pump some of their mega bucks (especially with the 15% price increase) into keeping and getting new artist on board with Jackson.

        It is a Jackson!!!!!!!!!!!!

        One of the best live versions I've seen too, Chuck and Scott Rock live

          It was an archtop JJ model he played. It looked like it was silver, only had one pickup. [img]/images/graemlins/headbang.gif[/img] I was flipping through the channels and saw part of it, was about to change it because I really hate most hip hop and rap, then it went to a commercial and said Anthrax, Public Enemy and Beastie Boys were coming up, so I decided to watch. It was pretty cool, a sped up version of Bring The Noise. Scott's vocal part in the middle was pretty cool, too.

            The bring the noise Tour back in 92 rocked, PE rock in concert.

              So it was a Jackson. Cool! [img]/images/graemlins/headbang.gif[/img] I never really got a good look at it, just enough to see it was silver. I was putting a guitar back together during the show (that helped to pass the time) They should have thrown in Anthrax's "I'm the Man" too, would have been pretty cool!

                  they actually give out "awards" ...for being a hip hop..

                    Y'all know I'm a huge Anthrax fan- and as far as them having anything to do with hip-hop goes... well... [img]/images/graemlins/laugh.gif[/img] can't blame them for experimenting. Everyone's got a weak link somewhere I suppose. I'm very happy they didn't run with that idea. But if you absolutely HAVE to have metal and rap combined- Anthrax and PE is a good combo.

                    I can understand folks that dig hip-hop wanting to have their moment, but I don't think it should be lumped with music. Putting it into a creative arts category would better suit I think.
                    Or better yet- a space tube and shot out into a black hole! Except for the Beastie Boys.

                    I was wondering what guitar Scott was playing, I haven't seen it before, thought it might have been his new Washburn. So it is a Jackson? Okay.

                            Man I was trying to catch a good rerun of the Surreal life and I turned that on at literally the moment of that and that is the only reason it stayed on for longer than a second. That was not good IMO and I actually like Public enemy (as far as a rap group). They should have done Caught in a Mosh instead

                              BTW are you sure he was playing a Jackson? one of the PE guys was playing what looked like an identical guitar and the Headstock wasn't the JJ headstock it looked more like a Samick (which I know it wasn't) but I assumed it was his new Washburn
