This completely cracks me up. This story is from my hometown Roanoke,Va. She lives in what is locally known as south east. It is a very old and run down neighborhood. The city in its infinite wisdom has decided to beautify the place. The editorial section of the local paper is full of people busting on her. She responded to the fact that her mother smoked with her and she turned out just fine.(Dropping out of highschool and living on wellfare) She doesn't see how it would harm her child. But since all of the exposure she has cut down to 2 packs a day.

Yep. She DEFINITELY needs to be taken out into a field, launched into the air with a watermelon cannon, and used as target practice.

Actually, she said she cut down FROM 2 packs to 1/2 a pack according to the article. She also said her doctor agreed that it might be more stressful for the baby if she quit cold than if she cut down. Not condoning her smoking at all, but that's what she actually said.

Well, Lerx, in that case, maybe she should just be gently carted around the field in a remote-control wagon, rather than shot from a watermelon cannon.

That would be a more humane way of getting her into the field.

[/ QUOTE ]I was just correcting Mudkicker's post as to how much she smokes while pregnant, not advocating or protesting use of a watermelon gun to get her into the field.We could always take her out to the field and shoot watermelons AT her WITH the watermelon gun! I'm prettysure those suckers would hurt!

Lerx, I don't think you can be trusted in this situation. I'm concerned your ability to aim at a target has been compromised by your stroke. Don't worry Jimmy, I just close my left eye and aim with my right. I always did this anyway so nothing has changed in that regard.
If using a rifle I might need a bipod or a fence to steady on though.
