But between yesterday and today.....big change. After investing in 2 Westbury's and a Mod 6 in the last six months, I'd have a hard time explaining to my wife why I wanted to invest in the Mesa, especially since I'm not playing with band anymore (she didn't really want me to quit the band).

I hear ya Chris...Kerry (my gf) used to work for animal control in the area...and tells me the bears are a big problem around here! They normally don't fukk with you, but you'll get the occasional one with a bad attitude.

Tommy...I hear ya there too bro. I'm right there with ya...been sitting dormant ever since I split with my ex. Another thing I get to blame this fukkin divorce on! I've just lost the drive to pick back up where I left off. The original plan was to keep the band going regardless (with my ex on bass...just as it was)...but my gf doesn't care much for her, and that would make for a real tense situation.

I think cover bands do that to you. I have those feelings from time to time now, with the band I'm in. I would love just to work on original stuff exclusively. It's so much more fun than learning others stuff, for me. On the other hand I really like playing music with other people, so I do it to be able to get that feeling when you pull off a cool song, when they pick one. [img]/images/graemlins/wink.gif[/img]

When I split with my ex 12 years ago, that's what kicked me into gear, practicing 8 hours a day and from 7am -11pm on weekends. It's all I had at the time. My ex didn't play in the band though and I could see why that would be a uncomfortable experience.

That drive will come back...I keep faith alive in that respect. I wasn't uncomfortable with continuing a working relationship with my ex at all...but my gf wouldn't take kindly to the notion. man aint this the reality post. I've always wanted to ask how you guys balance work, family, guitar, and bad habits (for me it is drinking but others maybe something else) I guess it is all relative to your situation.
