What the hell, look at my taskbar.



I can't bring the damn thing back down to one row thickness. If I drag it down, it "disappears" until I bring it up again. It will either disappear or be two rows thick. How the hell can I bring it back down to one row thick? Thanks!!!!

hover your mouse ove the bottom bar on the left. You will see a horizontal double arrow left click and hold and move it so that it is to the right.(after paint) Then hover your mouse over the top of the bar so you get a vertical double arrow left click and hold and drag it down so that it is the appropriate height.

Those two little vertical lines next to the start button are the points you use to drag those two parts of the toolbar around. Just grab the upper and drag it down.

Then right click on the taskbar and check the "Lock the Taskbar" option so it does not happen again. [img]/images/graemlins/grin.gif[/img]

you got windows 98 lay out might change if you go
back to the xp settings

Hey NOTP, why not put it on auto hide? Then you don't have to worry about hitting it accidentally. Plus it gives ya a lil' more screen to look at. Just a thought....

Yeah but I like having the thing there so I can switch back and forth between a few programs at a time and to open up new browser windows. Facilitates easy multimedia porno surfing. What an age we live in!!! [img]/images/graemlins/laugh.gif[/img] [img]/images/graemlins/laugh.gif[/img]

but with Autohide, the taskbar pops back when you drag your cursor down to the bottom of the screen. So you can still use it as you normally would for multi-window porn surfing, and it pops back down out of the way when you move the mouse back up into the general work space. I always run mine set up like that. It also means if the boss sneaks up behind me, he can't see that I have a JCF window running behind all my work [img]/images/graemlins/wink.gif[/img]
