here's one thing that pisses me off about the series in general; the NL team gets it easier with the whole DH thing. any american league team takes a disadvantage b/c they have to make their pitchers bat, make their dh field, and take out one player on their roster.

the nl team benefits by getting to add another power hitter; usually in the place of their weakest hitter (pitcher). when i'm in power, kiddies, things are gonna change... oh yes. this may actually take precedence over the first thing i'm gonna do when i'm in power, and that's carpet rhode island.

any word about the game being called for rain yet? i hope not.

Hey Sully ESPN is actually saying the Cards have the disadvantage because they don't have a good hitter to fill the DH roll. That's laughable. If their pitchers are that good with the bat use one as a DH.

Nah, it's stopped raining here, for now anyway, they just un-covered the field as well. They say it should go off on time now, they said earlier, it was going to be an hour late.

As for the DH, that's so bogus where your pitchers don't bat, what a bunch of pussies! It's the game, if they can't play the game, get em off the field...

i understand both sides of the dh argument, but the commish should make it the same for both leagues.either it's used across the board, or not at all.

Well, we've never had that in the NL, why would we start now? I agree it should be the same rules/regs across the board, expecially for the WS.

Actually the sepration is what makes the world series interesting. If both leagues had the exact same type of play then why break it up even by divisions. I think taking a team and changing the dynamic makes it a lot more interesting. It will be good to see how Francona adapts ... BTW for the record.... Suppan is only batting .070 this year .. so tell me how that makes it so uneven

Well actually it is what everyone focuses on .. Everyone is so sure the RedSox are screwed because they lose a bat ..well they both lose a bat .. the redsox will lose a little defense .. but Ortiz has been a first basemen so it's not totally foreign to him
