Sorry to say it Pat but I think tonight is the Cards last game of the year...what a pathetic performance, no above average pitching or any offense whatsoever.

You have to give Boston credit. They are delivering on their chances and Pedro pitched a helluva game last night. Boston is the better team...so far. They will go for blood tonight...have the broom handy!

Worse, St. Louis somehow had runners on third base thrown out by Manny and David Ortiz to kill early rallies in Game 3. Squandering chances in the postseason is never good but getting thrown out within 90 feet of home plate by those two is like bungling a robbery so badly that Barney Fife and Inspector Clouseau are able to track you down.


Oh, and the Cardinals also whined about their hotel in Boston being too far from Fenway Park and not having late-night room service.




Well, the Boston hotel won't be a problem this weekend because the Cardinals aren't going back. No matter the talk in their clubhouse about how they won four games in a row plenty of times this season and just need to do it again.

There is no curse, only severely bad luck for the Sox. Only fair weather fans and other peripherals believe in the curse. Those are the same people who believe in Yetis and Loch Ness monsters.

That a-hole Dan ShaunASSey is the one that first coined "the curse of the bambino". Since he doesn't know jack **** about anything aside from writing negative articles about Sox players I wouldn't take his word for anything. There was no such thing as a curse known back in the '86 world series. Buckner just F'ed up. But I do know if I ever see that dick when I'm in Boston I will be extremely tempted to kick him square in the balls. Something someone should have done long ago. Hey ShaunASSey F YOU!!!!!!!!!!

It does give the media something to write about and HBO to make docs about. Diehards may be fatalistic, but never blame things on the curse. Thankfully when this is over there will be very little to no mention of it ever again.

The BoSox came back from a 3 game deficeit, so.........

All I'm going to say, but so far, the BoSox have absolutely been the better team. But if the BoSox win it, I'd love to see them win at home, I always feel bad for a team winning the WS, Cup, etc in the road, it has to be a lonely celebration, for a few hours anyway.

There's nothing like winning a World Championship at home.

Exactly until the Bartman episode which was an overblown media thing the curse of the Goat was unmentioned. Suddenly it was all over the place. No Mention of a White sox curse even though their Drama Bookends the 1918 Red Sox. 1917 was their last World Series and 1919 the Black sox scandal. I mean seriously if anyone should be cursed should it not be the Whitesox? They freaking threw a World Series!! Anyway as long as the Cubs don't win everyone should be happy [img]/images/graemlins/smile.gif[/img]

i don't think you can compare the sox coming back from being down 3-0 to the cards being able to do it, mainly b/c they're not the same team. [img]/images/graemlins/laugh.gif[/img] their pitching hasn't been strong at all this series. not to say they're getting walked all over, but the sox have better pitching.

and i couldn't agree more about the cubs not winning a series. besides, cubs is an acronym for Could Utilize Baseball Skills, or Can't Understand Baseball Strategy. [img]/images/graemlins/laugh.gif[/img]

Well, another thing to the pitching is that we haven't even shown up to the games!!!

Rolen, 0-12 in the series? ( that's just one that comes to mind from memory.

It's a joke... If they decide to show up, maybe there's hope, but I don't see it.
