nope, its not exaggerated at all. It's not my opinion, they're facts based on producers and managers that are/were involved in the music business. Like I said though, I'm speaking of mainstream artists here. So if you the bands you love are In Flames and the like, then they obviously don't use auto tuners.

Last I saw WASP about 2-3 years ago, Blackie was blatantly lipsynching. I saw it very obviously several times, and that was also the word from FOH people behind the scenes at sound check.

I'm just surprised that anyone's surprised that Ashlee Simpson would lipsynch. I doubt it'll affect her career much either way, just an embarrassing incident to weather over the next few weeks. It's not like she was going to be the next Avril or Alanis, it's well known that Jessica's money and connections are what she's got.

[/ QUOTE ]I said money and connections, not talent - though Jessica does actually have a decent voice. Her music is bland as plain oatmeal but her voice is not bad. Ashlee seems to at least want to be more earthy in her stuff, even if it's been prefabbed for her. Prefab earth, now that sounds funny! I think Ashlee got signed up for music lessons, just got a record deal for OJT.Hell, Kiss and Motley Crue lipsynced too. Kinda dumb that she tried to blame the band but hey, she's a rookie who panicked. At least she did sing on her album - if it's not her she should get her money back from the ghostsinger!

This is a little off topic but one of the funniest things I've seen was a few years ago when Megadeth played on Letterman. They came out and started playing and about halfway thru that stupid little bastard Paul started playin his keyboard along with them... He's just over there trying to look cool by headbangin while he was playing "ruining" the song! So I'm watching this and I look at Mustaine... He looks at Marty with a WTF expression on his face and Marty looks back like "Fukk if I know"... Mustaine looked PISSED!!! You could just see it on his face! [img]/images/graemlins/laugh.gif[/img]

I got the feeling Paul just wanted to be able to say "He jammed with Megadeth" or something... [img]/images/graemlins/nono.gif[/img] what a douche! I hate that guy!!!

I had an old video of Maiden and I swear the intro to Aces High was a prerecorded bit. The Churchill speach into the intro seemed pre recorded. Once the fast part started the lights came up and the sound of the guitars was slightly different.

I just saw Judas Priest and they opened with Hellion/Electric Eye. Hellion was dead on PERFECT. It is possible I guess that it was a tape that they were playing to but when Priest actually took the stage the guitar sound didn't change at all.
